House links

I'm finding that the euphoria of getting such a beautiful ending to a show I'm really invested in goes on and on. I honestly feel like my life has improved in a permanent step change! (Laugh at me if you want.)

Someone at the house_wilson community kindly helped me think more positively of the way House gave up everything for Wilson. They felt that we were supposed to believe that House did still have the opportunity to go back to his existing life simply by getting out of the building, so his decision to disappear was supposed to be more profound than I gave it credit for. Maybe it didn't make complete sense, but it's not as if we were regularly shown logical consequences on the show, or as if we'd necessarily be excited about watching a show where that is what we got. A while ago missyjack did a post admonishing SPN fandom for poor proficiency at reading television shows. I kept that in mind when I was frowning over House escaping unscathed from a huge building fire when I know it's impossible to get very close to a small bonfire in an open paddock, but I couldn't quite get past the other issues I had complaints about. Now I feel like if I allow for dramatic license and take into account David Shore's statement that House had to figure out what was important to him and decide how to get it, I can enjoy the end result without getting too hung up on the fact that it nearly didn't happen since House nearly got himself killed.

A vid that covers the final arc up to but not including the finale. If you don't plan to watch the episodes, but want a small sample including the amazing "I need you to tell me that you love me" line, this is the vid for you.

One of the songs from the end

A very positive finale review (Though the reviewer admits they didn't watch the last two seasons, which I would say disqualifies you to write a professional review! I'll overlook that since they also say "House loves Wilson as truly as one person can love another.")
