A great day

Did not go to work.  Instead, took my horse for a lesson with a visiting Victorian instructor, who doesn't use bits, horseshoes or rugs. My au-naturel, cheerful pony met with his approval. Today was a private lesson, tomorrow's an all-day clinic with a group.

He is a happy-go-lucky sort! (I'm not, but he has enough for both of us!)

I've hit one of those nice purple patches where everything is going well!

I hope working more is agreeing with you!

It certainly is financially. Practically, it has made no difference in my life, la la la. It might be different if I had the kind of boss who actually gave me things to do.

Sounds like it's working out very well, then!

1) I thought I'd posted lots of photos, but maybe they've always been behind uninteresting-sounding cuts!

2) He is!

3) Will try to appreciate him more today. I'd have a better chance of noticing him if there weren't horses around!

Only the last two are at my property - the riding lesson was somewhere else!

Fascinating post, Zebra. I hadn't seen a non-bit bridle before!

I love your yard, and your boy is absolutely gorgeous - he has such a kind face. His mane is cool!

Cookies and a Rome re-watch sounds pretty darn good to me. Have fun!

Bitless bridles are getting much more popular - I'd say 75% of my hoofcare clients use them and there are lots of different makes on the market. Unfortunately they still aren't allowed in some kinds of competition, but that's starting to change.

The lesson wasn't at my property - I don't have facilities like that! Even if I wanted a riding arena, I don't have a flat spot to put one.

App does have a kind face, doesn't he. He is very nice natured.
