Before you abuse me too much over the wireless keyboard, you should know it appears to be seriously flawed (or I am): I haven't been able to work out how to import notes from the phone (just using the default "notes" application) to a PC... foolishly, I'd assumed it would just be a text file somewhere. So everything I've put in has had to be retyped, hence me not updating despite having done journal entries pretty much every day since leaving Brisbane. Any suggestions? :D
And yeah, I noticed that about the winds... although it seemed especially bad that day. But then, with the trip to Coles Bay I had 90km of headwinds that werer just as bad before turning south, so I'm no longer whinging so much about the trip in from the airportr anymore ;)
You can get text-file notes using a decent text file editor, not the pissy little "Notes" application provided. I recommend DEdit: http://jbak.ru/dedit_en.php. The only really annoying thing is getting used to some of its commands, and making sure that it saves files properly, in the right place. It's not broken, it just doesn't work quite intuitively.
The Lifeblog application that Nokia provides can actually post directly to LiveJournal, which I have done in the past, but you have to select a photo, then choose to send it, before you're allowed to start typing. You can choose to delete the photo and send the post without it, though. I know, I know, WTF.
Your phone and mine are enormously powerful, but sometimes the software seems a little... unfinished.
I think I'm looking forward to more posts more than I realised - your writing style is entrancing :) Hope the trip is full of wonderful sites, small challenges and big victories!

I also recommend YBrowser instead of the default S60 file manager provided, which is annoyingly weak: http://www.drjukka.com/YBrowser.html.

I've noticed they start saying scream or yell now, I'm sure they never used to say that re the emergency exit.
