I love rainy days, really I do. But unfortunately, nearly half of what I had planned today involved running errands on foot. I got up after only being allowed 4.5 hours of sleep by Soren, who was intent on getting into the walk-in closet in my bedroom. I took my shower, donned some clothes, and walked the 8 blocks round trip to Dunkin Donuts. I was out of breakfast and needed coffee like a mad woman. As soon as I got home, it started raining. And raining. Hard. All day. Couldn't even do my laundry because the laundry room was swamped by everyone else who'd had their plans ruined.
Anyways, normally I love rain. Today, not so much. Especially since I chose to play Santa Yuma again today and there's a reason I gave it the byline "where it's always rainy season". It's Summer - Springx3. There were times when I couldn't tell if the thunder was in the game or outside. On the good side of it, I did deep clean the kitchen and bathroom. I freaking scrubbed the inside of the microwave with Soft Scrub. Mom would be proud.
In a rare sunny moment, Darrius Masoyru tries to woo a townie. Bridget, or something. He has twelve he's working on, and five he's bedded. Romance sims. His poor daughter, Leah, has pretty much raised herself.
Andrea and Allen are twins. Andrea and Allen are both gay. That is quite an odd coincidence, since I let ACR pick sexual preference. I'm not sure that either will even ever end up joined. I've glanced at their prospects, and it doesn't look like they have any three-bolters. Andrea may have a chance at a two-bolter, but I think both only have one-bolters of a compatible sex and sexual preference. Since they are Fortune and Pleasure, they'd need a two-bolter and the want to get engaged, or a three-bolter without. Gay sims in my game can't reproduce (with the same sex) and I almost never allow adoption in early neighborhoods. So no babies, and probably no life partner. That stinks. I'll probably move them into a house or apartment together just because I hate playing single sims, even though in a BACC, you're better served to keep your household count high in the beginning so you can use the every-four-household lots as career openers.
The final Oliver family photo. I'd taken one earlier, when Melody, John, and Nadia were still in the house, but then they went and had Lucy. From the left: Nadia, John, Yuki, Lucy, Andrea, Harvey, Allen, and Melody. I was a bit ticked when Harvey & Yuki went to try for a baby that final (fourth, technically) time, but it works well. One of them has the LTW to marry off six kids. In BACCs, since career wants are usually blocked, I try to fulfill the ones that have non-career ones (hence why Darrius is getting so much ass).
And under the "classy" category...Melody and perpetual fiance Michael in full post-coital on the couch in front of her brother John and their toddler, Naomi. They have a two-bolt relationship and are both Knowledge. They both rolled the want to get engaged, but neither has rolled for marriage. I've even tried fake dates to see if I could get it to trigger. No dice. Michael is now also a witch. He's going after the good path. They have a secret room in the basement that is accessible through a hidden teleporter in the kids' room.
The newest community lot: Just a Little Bubbly. I built it to match with Nadia's, the dance studio. It's a tiny 1x1 that sells ingredients, potions, odd-looking dolls, and tomes. And yes, it has custom signage because I'm such a weirdo. It looks really quaint decorated up. Unfortunately, the couple of interior shots I took were deemed not good enough.
The bad thing about a witch-friendly business: evil warlocks like to play havoc with the lightning. There's enough of that naturally.
