Christmas, New Years and Family

I am not very good at posting. Oh, well.
Christmas was good . My family usually has a party on Christmas eve but this year it was on the 23rd. It was a lot of fun. I was able to meet my sisters boyfriend. He was really nice. He fit in well with the family. Since we were home on Christmas eve we read the Christmas story out of the Bible. This is a tradition I have been wanting to start but it has been hard to find a good time before. I really want my kids to know the reason we celebrate Christmas. I want them to remember and think about the Savior and all He did for us. It was nice.
On Christmas day we had our own little family time opening presents in the morning. I was a little worried about the kids not having a good Christmas because money has been so tight. But, by being very frugal (so frugal that I impressed Arna by thinking up a way to save that she had never even considered. Anyone who knows her knows that is quite a feat!)and through the generosity of others they actually had a really good one. We went to Alyx family get together next. We had breakfast and opened more presents and visited. Everyone was there. Then we went to my parents house. We opened even more presents and ate more food and visited. We also played Yatzee. It was a lot of fun. We were able to see most of my family for a few minutes at least. It was a good day.
New Years was not so good. Alyx was very sick with some stomach bug. He fell asleep at about 10:30. I read for an hour and then went to bed. Not so much fun.
We are starting to potty train Zaylee. We haven't made a lot of progress but we just started. She will be easier than Tony. I just hope I am up for it; I don't feel up for it but it's time.
Tony has been keeping dry all night for a couple of weeks now. I was worried about that but he is doing great. I love my children so much. I don't know what I would do without them even when they drive me crazy.
Things are going good with Alyx's job. We are almost making enough to pay the bills. Soon we should be able to make ends meet again. It has been a struggle but we have learned a lot, are still learning, and we are stronger for it. We have to rely on the Lord a lot throughout this whole thing and that has helped us both to have a better relationship with Him and with each other. I love Alyx so much. I would be lost without him in my life.
Life is still a struggle right now but things are looking up and I feel a lot of peace and comfort from the Lord. All in all I have it pretty good and I'm grateful for that.
