A Birthday, Halloween, and a Conference
Okay, I know it's been a while since my last post. I'll start with Zaylee's birthday. My baby is two! We had a party for her on Oct. 3. We invited Alyx's family and some of mine. (Mine is too big to invite all of them.) We had chili and cake and ice cream. Zaylee got all kinds of girly toys. She was in heaven. I decorated her cake. It had TinkerBell on it and flowers.
Right about the minute she turned two she decided she needed to be a terrible two. She is quite the fit thrower. She also thinks that she doesn't need to nap anymore, only she is really grumpy when she doesn't. She loves to sit on the potty but hse isn't really potty training. We are probably going to start after the Holidays are over. She is so cute! (which is part of the problem! lol) She's getting so tall. I don't have a baby anymore.
Tony is also getting so big. His hair is getting dark like his daddy's. He is very smart. He's learning his letters and the sounds they make; he knows a bunch of them already. He is getting to be less timid than he was which is good. I want him to be more outgoing than Alyx and I were growing up.
Halloween was good. We went to the ward Trunk-or-Treat and then to a party my Aunt had. It was good to see that part of the family. I don't get to see them much. Tony was a penguin, Zaylee was a lamby, Alyx was a soccer player and I was a spider queen.
We went to Dorian's blessing on Nov. 1. I was having a down day but it was a nice blessing and a good dinner after. Jessy and Justin let the baby get passed around. I didn't get to hold him because I was taking care of my kids and trying ti get over my downness.
Alyx and I went to the adult session of our Stake conference on the 7. It was really good. The theme was the temple. I left with a stronger testimony of the temple as well as a stronger desire to go more often. President Willard talked about how his family goes to the temples when they travel. I have always thought this was a good idea; Alyx and I went to the temple on our honeymoon. But I haven't stuck with it. I am going to be better about it. Even when we go to Salt Lake I want to get a session in. We made it to the temple Saturday. It was really good . I got some insight into some stuff I have been struggling with. I also feel more peace and comfort since then.
Alyx is getting more hours at work. Things are still tight but not as tight. He should be able to go full time soon.
