Sometimes I forget just how far our culture has come in a mere 50 years. I guess I just subconsciously assume though women were oppressed economically, socially things weeren't necessarily that different. Which I guess brings me to the question of how much influence does culture have over our human nature? I don't feel like elaborating right now, but it is definitely something for me to ponder.
