Kisses
I was thinking about posting this the other day, but I didn't. wickedsin posted an audience participation question about relationships, and it prompted me to do my own.
Not on relationships, specifically, but definitely related.
I was looking nostalgically at some photos of friends the other day. I got to thinking. (I do that too often, really.) I've been single for a record amount of time since I was 15. That's a GOOD thing for me. I'm tired of jumping from one failed relationship to the next, ya know?
But there are certainly things I miss about having a close companion. In particular, physical affection, and I'm not talking about sex. I like hugs and kisses and snuggles. I need those things. I thrive on touch. My hands are my life. They are how I express myself. I crave the touch of someone else's hands. Little things. Simple contact.
A hand on my waist. That's what I want. Better yet, hold me in both hands, pull me close, look into my eyes, and I'm yours.
And I'll rest my face in that cozy spot between your neck and shoulder.
