Aliases:
Black Death
Der Plagen (German)
Black Plague
Bubonic Plague
Yersinia pestis

Estimated to have killed 30% to 60% of Europe's population.

Age (in 1533): approximately 200 years old.

Appearance: The Plague is irresistibly cute. Often seen in black leather, torn skirts, and a fedora.

Languages spoken: Many. The Plague is multi-cultural. She will also switch languages or accents between conversations, or even mid-sentence.

Arch Nemesis: The Roman Bath

Weaknesses: The Plague has a sweet tooth and an affinity for good Russian vodka.

Companions: Rats, of course. She may be seen cheering on the puckers. Also other small animals, such as cats and squirrels.

One must be very careful engaging The Plague. She has a nasty habit of accepting certain types of bribes, but is also very tricky and deceptive. Most of her victims do not realize who she is until it is too late. Befriending her is risky business, as she has been known to be quite the backstabber. It would do one well to get on her good side, but the possibility of staying there is negotiable. While she does enjoy having certain companions, the odds of her getting bored and doing away with one are remarkably high.

The Plague might be often found near the ports or food markets, where she can easily distribute fleas and rats to various persons and vessels, while remaining hidden in the crowd.
