as usual, im being silent.
lets see... not too much been going on.. just work and games.
cousin is getting married in a little over a month. been fitted for the tux already.. will be picking it up in tennessee where the ceremony will take place.
i see i previously mentioned the computer parts already. yep, they are installed where they should be and all that.. nice performance boost to some games. and its been quite nice to be able to play my really old games on floppies.
i ended up ordering more items this past weekend. grabbed a wired xbox 360 controller for the pc. finally found one basically! could only find wireless. i had the wireless already, but the receiver failed and you just cant get an official replacement.
also grabbed a steelseries QwK mouse pad. finally retire the old ruth thompson dragon mat. its held up all these nearly ten years, and now sits on my dragon shelf.
only trips ive taken lately was up to myrtle beach to eat some dinner with family last weekend. i forget how far away that actually is from here! a very long journey through forgotten towns and lonely woods. we stopped at a conservation and education place. i may have mentioned it before. it was a place i had to check out for work. this time for play to actually see what they had. well, we only set aside an hour for the place, and spent it all looking at their exhibits instead of walking their trails. we did make it down to their wolves. basically conserving an endangered local wolf species. then my mother failed to make it back. the heat caused her MS to trigger and she lost her legs. we ended up carrying her physically the whole way back to the car. so.. an experience there.
also finally finished another book.
Shadow Dawn. yes, finally a book without dragon in the title. for the most part, there isnt dragons in the book, which is fine. my next two are scifi novels. so its a bit like a weaning. course, this is the middle book in a series, but its not too hard to pick up on. the bad thing is, its not well written. the scenes have adhd and get you confused quickly. not to mention all the things that the characters realize that is never explained to the reader.. sortof like a 'get it? *nudge nudge*' from the author. the ending was just pulled out of someones ass. basically made up on the fly as they were writing it. basically it was a book i started. could read for a bit, then put it down and forget i was reading it.
not much else.. so yeah.. least a tiny updatish thing..
