The whole thing is 75 frames but each riding loop is actually only 11 frames, believe it or not. I didn't realize it was that short! I feel like there should be more somehow but the motion is still really fluid. I reffed Zone's original motion so really the credit goes to them, their animations are so smooth.
The front ride, I might go back and do some detailing on this one now since it doesn't feel as smooth as the second one before i LOST MY ENTIRE MIND OVER WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SOMETHING QUICK
saying i meant this as a sort of joke is like saying i read playboy for the articles I AM AWARE OF THIS the original animation isn't hot to me at all, it's just kind of mesmerizing to watch and also the music is good, i'm just making this worse for myself aren't i
With the tiny censor bars lol, they're apparently nicknamed nori in Japanese which is hilarious. I love it when there's just a huge incredibly detailed penis in doujin and like, the tiniest little black strip over the tip of it. just YUP, CENSORED, IT'S FINE
The other censoring method I considered was mosaicing (via ezgif) which is kind of a neat effect honestly. You can definitely still tell what's going on but maybe the penis doesn't look as silly as it does normally lol. I can't mosaic the full two loops though since you can't move the mosaic during the animation itself in ezgif, it'd only be for the single loops.
For the real wip lore, what I did was make a gif of the two riding animations from Ankha Zone, then import them into Flash, then set up some stick figures for the motion, then exported those reference frames out. My first thought was to do the frames in Sai, since I was picturing something really sketchy for such a stupid idea, but I realized fairly quickly that doing small painstaking adjustments SUCKS when you don't have a timeline to easily skip around in like in Flash (or any animation software, really). So I ended up putting these frames BACK in and doing the vector lines in Flash over it, which let me get more precise with the details. The second riding loop I just did directly in Flash.
"I can do a quick animation without getting concerned with details, it's fine, I can do that" no I can't do that, I sit there and get incredibly picky about every line I KNOW THIS ABOUT MYSELF AND I STILL DID IT ANYWAY, LIKE A FOOL
Anyway it IS kind of interesting in a first run kind of way, it's much rougher obviously. You can also see my original idea, which was to just have a huge black box over it so I wouldn't have to draw a penis and embarrass myself over how poorly I draw them. But then it looked weirder that Kabu DIDN'T have one! So I had to just bite the bullet and do it. The first frame I drew one I was like UGH THIS LOOKS SO STUPID but then it looked a bit smoother when it was in motion. I dunno. I'M NOT A NSFW ARTIST I DON'T DRAW THINGS THIS EXPLICIT NORMALLY
wondering if Kabu looks too small but there's nothing wrong with that, idk
Moro said my style lends itself to simple shapes anyway so a lot of detail isn't really needed here lol. Which is probably true, thank god. I did not want to go do peen research for a gif that's supposed to be a stupid joke (i desperately say as flash timelines fall out of my coat pockets).
After I redid the frames in Flash, I mostly fiddled with it to try and get the motion smooth, then once that's down I do detailing and such like that. Here you can see Kabu's arms are stiff since I was moving them as one piece, in the final (?) iteration they move more naturally. Detailing tends to be other forms of movement, like hair or clothes or eyes, things like that. Once you get the big motion down you can focus on the little things to help sell it. I will give you sincere animation advice in this, my post about Kabu/Larry porn. This is exactly where I should be doing this.
Very rough test of the mosaic censoring, you can see the motion guidelines still in the back here because I think I forgot to turn them off lol.
The side ride! Larry's soul is leaving his body lol, I actually did think of changing his expression but that o_o face was in the original animation and I think it's funny on its own lol. I considered having Kabu wearing his socks in the side view but in the end I didn't go for it, it just kind of raised questions. I mean there are still questions about how this even happened!! I considered Larry having a shirt on but it's funnier to me if he's completely naked. Kabu just ripped his clothes off and couldn't be bothered to take his own top off I guess. I DON'T KNOW
I don't actually have too many wips of this one, it was VERY rough when I was starting but sadly don't have a lot of that. I did accidentally clip this gif outside the stage though OOPS.
I do have these two shots while I was in the middle of cleaning it up. When I'm getting down the main motion, I just grab pieces with the lasso tool and adjust them this way and that without paying too much attention to clean grabs, which results in a shredded look like this by the end of it! After the motion is done then I go back and clean up the shreds. It does have an interesting look though.
Properly centered, one with the little bar and not. Kabu's penis is mostly hidden from this angle by Larry's hand! But it felt weird to just have it out there when the previous loop had the bars, so I just put a tiny one in there. Most pointless censoring lol. I fiddled a lot with the placement of Kabu's penis... too far forward, too far back, trying to find the right medium. IT'S HARD, NO ONE UNDERSTANDS
mosaic for the side view lol MIGHT AS WELL BE CONSISTENT WITH THE OTHER ONE the second mosaic is very funny to me, like the tiny glimpse of his peen is worse than seeing him slam down on larry's junk

I considered doing this animation as well but that's a really difficult angle for Larry's face... I mean it looks very short, only a few frames probably, but ugh that angle. I'd have to move Kabu's legs around as well since I don't think he'd do the little cross-legged sit which would also probably take a bunch of adjustment. These are serious questions I ponder in my life.
Larry goes back to work the next day looking like a train hit him lol. Since these are vector things in Flash I could also blow them up double-size easily... for the incredibly small audience that sees them and wants to see them bigger lol (i actually don't know if these are too small, i did them at my normal resolution of 800x600 and they look a little smallish to me).
the worst part about this was that while I was cleaning up the second loop my playlist was like HEY DO YOU WANT TO LISTEN TO THE SWORD/SHIELD GYM LEADER BATTLE MUSIC noooooo (god the swsh gym leader theme is so good though, it's one of my top favorites for sure)
i haven't actually checked if it would sync, i did the frames for this without music just to get the motion down so i don't know if it syncs with the original camel by camel correctly or not, god help me GOD HELP ME
