~Darn dirty glasses!
UGH I got the idea to do a series of fake screenshots from a convo with Moro and it took FOREVER to finish but here it is, finally. Nothing objectionable in here far as I'm aware.
THIS TIME OUR THEME IS
ADJUSTING YOUR GLASSES yes for real
So I did a shot of Edgar adjusting his glasses every way I could think of (or do personally, either way). His eyes look super anime here, whatevs. I guess he's in Nny's house?
The dialogue in a lot of these is just a random out of context snip, to give the impression of it being in the middle of the conversation, durr. So this could be in response to most anything.
I tend to adjust mine like this on the computer a lot, I think.
Ugh why did I decide to do a series where a ton of focus is given to hands when I can't draw hands blfkafhahhh
Anyway I wonder if this one is hard to parse or maybe is unusual? I ASSUME EVERYONE ADJUSTS THEIR GLASSES IN ALL THESE WAYS but if it seems odd, basically it's nudging it up from below with one knuckle, which I tend to do if I'm resting my head on my hands.
This time he's in the cafe with Devi like in chapter... 22? I think it was 22. Mirror, anyway.
Decided to fiddle with some color band based distortions here.
The whitespace with Scriabin! ULTIMATE COP-OUT FOR BACKGROUNDS, YES
This one is when you push them up with your middle finger, although with your hand flat against your face. I don't do this super often but I do do it! I think Moro's pointed it out to me here and there, haha. Of course, I didn't realize while blocking this out that that means your hand covers most of your face, including Edgar's mouth. DURRRR. Well it probably isn't too hard to guess at his expression here.

The VCR distortion here is a bit different, I took a look at some real life VCR distortions and this one is how a VCR might get saturated with one color at certain segments.
DUMPED YOUR BOOKS, NERD
This one is where you nudge them up by the side with the back of your finger. I ASSUME OTHER PEOPLE DO ALL OF THESE
Part of why I wanted to do this is cause you usually only see people adjust them one way in stuff when I tend to adjust mine a bunch of ways, haha.
Anyway I didn't think too hard about whether or not these actually fit into Vargas or not, mostly just how to set up a shot where he'd be doing it, so I have no idea what's going on here. The set-up basically is someone knocking him over and then asking him what he's found out, like they were researching something? I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THIS SITUATION WOULD COME ABOUT
Similar color distortion as mentioned above, haha. Although a bit different that in this it's less that one area gets flooded with one color and more so that all the colors get way over-saturated.
Should just set all of these in Edgar's head it makes it so much easier when I don't have to do a background, hahaha.

For this one and the other whitespace one I did actually go and briefly skim one of their arguing chapters and pulled the dialogue from those so these actually could fit in the fic. AS OPPOSED TO SOME OF THE OTHERS whatever who cares
WOOP I forgot, for this one I actually did a slight pixelization effect on the bottom layers to make it look a bit more low-res and then I totally forgot to do this with the following ones. Way to go self. OH WELL, SOMETIMES STUFF IS INCONSISTENT, WHATEVER
Some shots got to be non distorted so this one is kinda close. It's really hard not to do the little distortion effects though.

Anyway, this one is pushing your glasses back up with the back of your hand, usually after doing something strenuous as illustrated. ONE OF THE ONLY ONES WHERE HE'S SMILING since edgar's life is endless suffering

AGAIN with the hand in front of the face it gets hard to see his haughty expression because I AM SO GOOD AT PLANNING THESE OUT
but this kind, where you push up with your thumb and other finger, is pretty unusual, rather pointed BUT IT DOES HAPPEN. I would sketch out a little stick figure in a tiny file each time I adjusted mine a different way to try and keep track.
At the top this time the distortion where the screen starts going black, but didn't go too far with it. I think this one does have the main frame slightly off-center though.

This one I bet doesn't come across clearly at all, BUT it's when you scrunch up your shoulder and head so you can push up your glasses with your shoulder. Usually only happens when both your hands are occupied, like so. IT DOESN'T FIX THEM PERFECTLY, BUT IT DOES HELP IF THEY'RE LIKE FALLING OFF

I don't know why I put work into these backgrounds when they get completely blurred away in the vcr versions. DURRRR.
