I didn't really touch on a lot of Sims 3 in my last one but I've played quite a bit of it now. I wasn't able to resist my addiction and ended up buying like all the expansions via Steam. FOR YEARS THIS GAME HAS HAD A HOLD OF ME
Anyway weirdly enough, my town with my PGRI Sims apparently vanished, so I'll have to remake them. In the meantime, I made the ladies! Do you want to see what adventures they get into? Of course you do.
Let's start with some caps of the ladies themselves!

So I went looking for a cigarette for Smoker to have, and didn't find very much, weirdly enough. Apparently the topic of Simsmoking is a controversial one, with some people all I DON'T WANT MY SIMS SMOKING DEATHSTICKS and others all I'LL MAKE MY LITTLE DOLLS DO WHATEVER I WANT. I saw links for one that a Sim could actually smoke but they didn't seem to work, annoyingly enough. In the meantime I found one that Smoker can just hold between her fingers so that's something at least.
Sims always does such great work in indulging my love of fluff. Anyway Smoker's traits are Loner, Good Sense of Humor, Natural Chef, Unflirty, and... Couch Potato, that's it. Her laziness tends to conflict with Hunter's activeness a lot of the time, haha.
Jockey! Colormatching her wasn't too hard.

So close! I don't think anyone's made any sweaters tied around the waist though.
Could even colorcode her watch, haha. Her traits are Insane, Inappropriate, Virtuouso, Easily Impressed, and... something. Friendly? I think it was Friendly.
It was surprisingly easy to find her an outfit. :O World Adventures did almost all of it for me, haha. Unfortunately her face scar is much harder. I did eventually find her a face scar that sort of worked, but it turns out making her one is like 30x harder than it would be for Sims 2. Arrrgh
I had a lot of fun putting her in fancy dresses. :D
And I could even give her her ring! I think her traits are Loves the Outdoors, No Sense of Humor, Disciplined, Good, and... Adventurous? I forget. :B
I also made a David sim! I didn't spend a lot of time on him because he was not long for this world, so don't get attached. I think his traits were Eco-friendly, Adventurous, Charismatic... Good and Family Oriented? I can't remember right now, haha. WELL ANYWAY LET'S GO
I started with Hunter and Smoker, and the others would join in later.
Come in, say hi, and then they both immediately start reading next to each other. WORKS FOR ME.

Smoker wanted to be a chef, so I set her on that path. :B I just love it when Sims talk about each other.

At one point their TV broke and Smoker was quite distraught, as she spends almost all her time in her room by herself watching the cooking channel. So this lady came by to repair it.

The fun part is they snuggled like this a whole bunch of times without ever falling in love. So they'd coo and kiss each other every now and then but apparently friends can do that!
I could even give her her robe!
But then a robber busted into their place! I don't think they got anything though, but they ran before Hunter could beat them up, much to her disappointment. Amusingly enough, Hunter's current occupation is thief.
I wonder if Smoker would be more or less miserable as a frycook.

Hunter eventually rolled a want to train Smoker, so I forced her off the bed to give it a go. Training a Sim involves the other Sim standing nearby and shouting encouragement. Smoker did not enjoy it, although I didn't make her do it for very long.
Hunter had fun though.
I love watching Sims cook. So many details!
Hunter becoming quite the handywoman. I wonder which one of them would be better at that sort of thing? I can see Smoker fiddling with things when she gets bored.

Hunter kept herself amused in jail though. There's a bunch of things you can do while you're in there. :O
This wasn't intentional, but as I dabbled in the gardening aspect, Smoker was the one who ended up having the real green thumb. She ended up reachin the top tier of gardening pretty quickly, which worked out well for her since she could use the vegetables and stuff to cook with.
This is probably the most flattering expression I've seen on a Sims3 Sim.

You can get a rubber duckie to bathe with! Hahahaha. You can also get some fancy incense candles for your tub and also bubble bath I think. There are a lot of little decorative things like that in Sims 3 that are pretty neat. They just sort of tuck into whatever bathtub you've got.
Duckies work their magic like no other.

There are a lot of annoying things about Sims 3, and at first I wasn't won over by the solid neighborhood, but it's sort of grown on me now. It's convenient not to have to sit through a giant loading screen to get somewhere, so Hunter spends a lot of time just jogging around town.
Smoker got invited to a party at one point, and I thought this guy looked sort of familiar. While poking at his socials I realized his name was Gobias Koffi. SUDDENLY SIMS 3 IS THE BEST
And after some prying, I found out he's a Never Nude. EVEN BETTER.
This guy had some beef with Smoker for some reason, and she didn't much put up for it. Eventually I sent her home to avoid a fiasco.

Anyway around this point, I made Jockey, Charger, and David, and moved them into their little house.
Charger on the move! I'm picturing her like Akira style street racing on a motorcycle now and hahahaha
it's kind of awesome
Jockey doesn't have much of a job (she's in a band, but hasn't been promoted very much) so she spends a lot of time around the house cleaning and such. In Sims 3 you can get your Sims a washer and dryer! You don't have to but you can. If you do, your Sims can do laundry and get little bonuses for it. I thought it'd be fun to check it out. Jockey spends a lot of time doing laundry as a result.
You can also buy different soaps to decorate them with. In terms of Sims, I am really not into the interior decorating or building thing. The main appeal for me is making Sims of fictional characters, turning aging off, and then grinding them up until they're filthy rich and super skilled, then doing it again with a new family. I don't even do legacies or babies or anything. It's just raising skills and watching Sims interact with each other. Oh, and exploring new things they add in an expansion.
One of the neat things about the Sims is that you can play the game any way you want really. You can do legacies or challenges or build houses or decorate them or whatever, it's really up to you. I LIKE MAKING MY OCS BANTER, WOOO
There are no Sim versions of me or anyone I know in real life, just random characters from various fandoms, some original and some not. Am I the only one who plays this way?

I always want the other members of the house to ask Hunter about what happened but they never do, which is sort of a shame. They were curious about the alien abductions in 2. Ah well.

One of Jockey's things that she does due to her Insane trait is talk to herself. Sometimes she'll roll wants for doing it too! It apparently makes her quite happily. She'll basically just rant and rave to the air.
I don't thiiink this upsets other Sims. Or at least not Smoker, who doesn't seem to care at the moment.
I got Jockey a guitar, since she was a virtuoso and desperately wanted one. She subsequently has resolved to only play this guitar in Smoker and Hunter's bedroom, usually when they're trying to sleep. JOCKEY.
I've tried to clear some space for her in other rooms but nope, she insists on playing it in their room and waking them up whenever they're sleeping. JOCKEY I DON'T THINK THAT'LL ENDEAR YOU TO THEM
She got really good at the guitar real fast though.

Jockey and Hunter seemed to hit it off pretty quickly. For some reason they seemed to have a lot of opportunities to talk to each other, while the others would often be too tired or just miss each other.

Hunter wanted to train Jockey, who's a lot happier with physical activity than Smoker is, haha. Actually, Jockey rolled a few odd wants here and there, and I'm not sure if they were because of her inappropriate trait or what. For example, she kept rolling a want to have her first kiss with Hunter, although I didn't get a cap of that. Jockey :O

Meanwhile Charger has become a detective, since that was a new career path and I wanted to see what it was like. All the cases are written like cheesy noir movies, it's great. As you go along you get new things you can do to investigate people, like check their mail. Charger decided to do that right when this lady came home, and she didn't really appreciate it.

I tried to see if Charger could fix it, and she got electrocuted. D: I was sort of amused by her subsequent NO WASHING MACHINE D: thought balloon though, haha.

And so Smoker achieves her lifelong dream! Actually no, I think her dream might be to learn every recipe, but she was pretty happy after this.

SO WHERE'S DAVID you might be asking. Well he was spending most of his time in the 3x3 square room of death, since I really wanted to know what ghosts were like. Also a five person house is a lot, even for someone who enjoys platespinning as much as I do. SO poor David had to go.

Weirdly, David spent a lot of his time in the room talking to some girl on the phone and I believe they even became friends before the inevitable kicked in.

Death then decided it was time for computer games.
No one seemed to notice THAT either. Smoker went in and joined the rest of them in watching TV, at which point I finally went in and cancelled all their tv watching actions so they could realize what happened.

Despite her apparent obliviousness during his death, Charger was pretty broken up about it afterwards. It was kind of depressing to see her constantly popping little broken heart bubbles.

After a Sim death there are special socials that open up, like console or comfort and... there was another one but I forget it now. But anyway Smoker here wanted to be consoled, I guess for being the only person who cared enough to go out there and see him die.

Although weirdly enough, even though Ghost David was still listed in her relationships as a person, I think it listed him as an Ex-Lover or something. Which seemed kinda harsh, since it wasn't like he dumped her or they got divorced, he died. But eh.

This was a weird little action where one of them would kind of get angry at the other, who'd back off and then they'd get plus signs anyway? It was for one of the grieving options I forget which one. I guess that's one way to handle grief.

One of the interesting little things during this mourning period was the everyone else was always coming to Charger to be comforted by her, not to actually comfort Charger herself. YOUR HUSBAND'S DEAD AND I'M JUST SO SAD :(

Charger does enjoy being active, but it's a bit tricky balancing letting her exercise with not letting her get too skinny, since the metric for that isn't terribly precise. Fortunately Smoker as a super cook means I can have her make super sweet stuff for Charger to eat if she goes too far in one direction.
Unfortunately Smoker's Good Sense of Humor and Charger's No Sense of Humor do not coincide, and thus all of Smoker's jokes tend to fall a little flat. I did eventually get them to become friends though, although they were distant for a while.

Anyway eventually I got enough money to send them on vacation, so I sent them to Shangra La. Or is it Simra la? Anyway, SimChina, basically. One of Charger's traits is Disciplined, which I chose originally because it just sounded right for her. In actuality it means she's super good at martial arts, and thus she quickly sought and began practicing it once she got the chance.
You can explore all sorts of tombs in one of the expansions and get coins and treasures and stuff, and there are traps and all that. It's an interesting little addition to gameplay. I didn't find anythin down here though.
Meanwhile Charger quickly earned her first belt and found some people to spar with.
She then found her true love, the board breaker. I cannot get her away from this thing. Eventually I bought one and took it back home but she still just can't stop breaking those boards.

That person there is a paparazzi. In the Nightlife equivalent they added celebrity levels for your Sims, and if you get to know the right ones you can get into secret venues or something. I didn't care so much, but I got some of them up one level, and then as they became friends with each other, they then pumped up each other's fame levels without even having to make new friends. WOOO
This means paparazzi come and take pictures of them whenever they're outside a lot.
For example, this one followed Smoker to the graveyard.
Them all being varying levels of famous lead to some weird wants, haha.
Not sure why you guys get such a kick out of this thing but okay.

So I was playing with my Sims for a while, and I got a notice about Hunter's birthday coming up soon. It turns out that I had forgotten to turn off aging that run through, and soon they were all going to become elders! NOT ON MY WATCH. I turned it back off, then looked up some recipes. It turns out ambrosia will reset your Sim's current day count on that stage of their life cycle.

Apparently the topic of Simsmoking is a controversial one, with some people all I DON'T WANT MY SIMS SMOKING DEATHSTICKS and others all I'LL MAKE MY LITTLE DOLLS DO WHATEVER I WANT. I saw links for one that a Sim could actually smoke but they didn't seem to work, annoyingly enough. In the meantime I found one that Smoker can just hold between her fingers so that's something at least.
Sims always does such great work in indulging my love of fluff. Anyway Smoker's traits are Loner, Good Sense of Humor, Natural Chef, Unflirty, and... Couch Potato, that's it. Her laziness tends to conflict with Hunter's activeness a lot of the time, haha.

Could even colorcode her watch, haha. Her traits are Insane, Inappropriate, Virtuouso, Easily Impressed, and... something. Friendly? I think it was Friendly.
It was surprisingly easy to find her an outfit. :O World Adventures did almost all of it for me, haha. Unfortunately her face scar is much harder. I did eventually find her a face scar that sort of worked, but it turns out making her one is like 30x harder than it would be for Sims 2. Arrrgh
I had a lot of fun putting her in fancy dresses. :D
And I could even give her her ring! I think her traits are Loves the Outdoors, No Sense of Humor, Disciplined, Good, and... Adventurous? I forget. :B
I also made a David sim! I didn't spend a lot of time on him because he was not long for this world, so don't get attached. I think his traits were Eco-friendly, Adventurous, Charismatic... Good and Family Oriented? I can't remember right now, haha. WELL ANYWAY LET'S GO
I started with Hunter and Smoker, and the others would join in later.

The fun part is they snuggled like this a whole bunch of times without ever falling in love. So they'd coo and kiss each other every now and then but apparently friends can do that!
I could even give her her robe!
But then a robber busted into their place! I don't think they got anything though, but they ran before Hunter could beat them up, much to her disappointment. Amusingly enough, Hunter's current occupation is thief.
I wonder if Smoker would be more or less miserable as a frycook.

Hunter eventually rolled a want to train Smoker, so I forced her off the bed to give it a go. Training a Sim involves the other Sim standing nearby and shouting encouragement. Smoker did not enjoy it, although I didn't make her do it for very long.

I love watching Sims cook. So many details!

This wasn't intentional, but as I dabbled in the gardening aspect, Smoker was the one who ended up having the real green thumb. She ended up reachin the top tier of gardening pretty quickly, which worked out well for her since she could use the vegetables and stuff to cook with.
This is probably the most flattering expression I've seen on a Sims3 Sim.

You can get a rubber duckie to bathe with! Hahahaha. You can also get some fancy incense candles for your tub and also bubble bath I think. There are a lot of little decorative things like that in Sims 3 that are pretty neat. They just sort of tuck into whatever bathtub you've got.

There are a lot of annoying things about Sims 3, and at first I wasn't won over by the solid neighborhood, but it's sort of grown on me now. It's convenient not to have to sit through a giant loading screen to get somewhere, so Hunter spends a lot of time just jogging around town.
Smoker got invited to a party at one point, and I thought this guy looked sort of familiar. While poking at his socials I realized his name was Gobias Koffi. SUDDENLY SIMS 3 IS THE BEST
And after some prying, I found out he's a Never Nude. EVEN BETTER.
This guy had some beef with Smoker for some reason, and she didn't much put up for it. Eventually I sent her home to avoid a fiasco.

Anyway around this point, I made Jockey, Charger, and David, and moved them into their little house.
Charger on the move! I'm picturing her like Akira style street racing on a motorcycle now and hahahaha
it's kind of awesome
Jockey doesn't have much of a job (she's in a band, but hasn't been promoted very much) so she spends a lot of time around the house cleaning and such. In Sims 3 you can get your Sims a washer and dryer! You don't have to but you can. If you do, your Sims can do laundry and get little bonuses for it. I thought it'd be fun to check it out. Jockey spends a lot of time doing laundry as a result.
You can also buy different soaps to decorate them with. In terms of Sims, I am really not into the interior decorating or building thing. The main appeal for me is making Sims of fictional characters, turning aging off, and then grinding them up until they're filthy rich and super skilled, then doing it again with a new family. I don't even do legacies or babies or anything. It's just raising skills and watching Sims interact with each other. Oh, and exploring new things they add in an expansion.
One of the neat things about the Sims is that you can play the game any way you want really. You can do legacies or challenges or build houses or decorate them or whatever, it's really up to you. I LIKE MAKING MY OCS BANTER, WOOO
There are no Sim versions of me or anyone I know in real life, just random characters from various fandoms, some original and some not. Am I the only one who plays this way?

I always want the other members of the house to ask Hunter about what happened but they never do, which is sort of a shame. They were curious about the alien abductions in 2. Ah well.

One of Jockey's things that she does due to her Insane trait is talk to herself. Sometimes she'll roll wants for doing it too! It apparently makes her quite happily. She'll basically just rant and rave to the air.
I don't thiiink this upsets other Sims. Or at least not Smoker, who doesn't seem to care at the moment.
I got Jockey a guitar, since she was a virtuoso and desperately wanted one. She subsequently has resolved to only play this guitar in Smoker and Hunter's bedroom, usually when they're trying to sleep. JOCKEY.
I've tried to clear some space for her in other rooms but nope, she insists on playing it in their room and waking them up whenever they're sleeping. JOCKEY I DON'T THINK THAT'LL ENDEAR YOU TO THEM
She got really good at the guitar real fast though.

Jockey and Hunter seemed to hit it off pretty quickly. For some reason they seemed to have a lot of opportunities to talk to each other, while the others would often be too tired or just miss each other.

Actually, Jockey rolled a few odd wants here and there, and I'm not sure if they were because of her inappropriate trait or what. For example, she kept rolling a want to have her first kiss with Hunter, although I didn't get a cap of that. Jockey :O

Meanwhile Charger has become a detective, since that was a new career path and I wanted to see what it was like. All the cases are written like cheesy noir movies, it's great. As you go along you get new things you can do to investigate people, like check their mail. Charger decided to do that right when this lady came home, and she didn't really appreciate it.

Weirdly, David spent a lot of his time in the room talking to some girl on the phone and I believe they even became friends before the inevitable kicked in.

No one seemed to notice THAT either. Smoker went in and joined the rest of them in watching TV, at which point I finally went in and cancelled all their tv watching actions so they could realize what happened.

Despite her apparent obliviousness during his death, Charger was pretty broken up about it afterwards. It was kind of depressing to see her constantly popping little broken heart bubbles.

Although weirdly enough, even though Ghost David was still listed in her relationships as a person, I think it listed him as an Ex-Lover or something. Which seemed kinda harsh, since it wasn't like he dumped her or they got divorced, he died. But eh.

This was a weird little action where one of them would kind of get angry at the other, who'd back off and then they'd get plus signs anyway? It was for one of the grieving options I forget which one. I guess that's one way to handle grief.

Sometimes if Jockey just won't leave Hunter and Smoker alone to sleep I send her to the park to play for tips. She'll do it for ages.

Charger does enjoy being active, but it's a bit tricky balancing letting her exercise with not letting her get too skinny, since the metric for that isn't terribly precise. Fortunately Smoker as a super cook means I can have her make super sweet stuff for Charger to eat if she goes too far in one direction.
Unfortunately Smoker's Good Sense of Humor and Charger's No Sense of Humor do not coincide, and thus all of Smoker's jokes tend to fall a little flat. I did eventually get them to become friends though, although they were distant for a while.

Anyway eventually I got enough money to send them on vacation, so I sent them to Shangra La. Or is it Simra la? Anyway, SimChina, basically. One of Charger's traits is Disciplined, which I chose originally because it just sounded right for her. In actuality it means she's super good at martial arts, and thus she quickly sought and began practicing it once she got the chance.
You can explore all sorts of tombs in one of the expansions and get coins and treasures and stuff, and there are traps and all that. It's an interesting little addition to gameplay. I didn't find anythin down here though.
Meanwhile Charger quickly earned her first belt and found some people to spar with.
She then found her true love, the board breaker. I cannot get her away from this thing. Eventually I bought one and took it back home but she still just can't stop breaking those boards.

That person there is a paparazzi. In the Nightlife equivalent they added celebrity levels for your Sims, and if you get to know the right ones you can get into secret venues or something. I didn't care so much, but I got some of them up one level, and then as they became friends with each other, they then pumped up each other's fame levels without even having to make new friends. WOOO
This means paparazzi come and take pictures of them whenever they're outside a lot.
For example, this one followed Smoker to the graveyard.
Them all being varying levels of famous lead to some weird wants, haha.
Not sure why you guys get such a kick out of this thing but okay.

So I was playing with my Sims for a while, and I got a notice about Hunter's birthday coming up soon. It turns out that I had forgotten to turn off aging that run through, and soon they were all going to become elders! NOT ON MY WATCH. I turned it back off, then looked up some recipes. It turns out ambrosia will reset your Sim's current day count on that stage of their life cycle.
