Chapter 14
After practice, all JUMP members packed all their things. They are leaving the dance room one by one. “Ne, Chii, mind joining me to Shibuya? I want to eat ice-cream,” Keito asked.
“Ehh..what about Yuto then? Isn’t he will be jealous later?” Chinen asked bluntly. Keito chuckled as he smiled over Yuto. Yuto nodded in agreement. “Well, if that’s the case, I’ll go and tell Yama-chan first,” Keito nodded as Chinen bounced happily to his boyfriend. “Ne~Ryo-chan, can Keito bring me to Shibuya now?” Chinen asked.
“Yeah, sure,” Yamada nodded as he ruffled his boyfriend’s hair.
“Yay! Arigato, Ryo-chan..” Chinen was about to leave when Yamada stopped him.
“Na-ah. Not without this..” Yamada pecked on Chinen’s lips, making the squirrel blushed hard. “Kawaii~” he grinned, as Chinen pouted. “Go then. Keito, take good care of my pet kay..” Yamada said to Keito.
“Yes sir,” Keito said as he and Chinen left the dancing room. Yamada chuckled. Now the only person who left in the dancing room is he and Yuto.
“You’re not going home yet, Yama-chan?” Yuto asked. Yamada shakes his head. “What are you doing then?”
“Resting myself. I’m too tired and I can’t go home like this,” Yamada said, almost slumped himself beside his bag. “You don’t have to wait for me then..”
“But I want to..” Yuto said as he put his bag beside Yamada. “We go home together, kay. It’s been a long time since we walked home together,” Yamada nodded and smiled. Yuto then took a seat beside Yamada. Awkward silence falls between them. “Anoo..”
“About what you said before,” Yamada said out of the blue.
“Eh? You thought about that?” Yuto asked, surprised.
“I am. I mean, you look so serious when you said that you want to make it up with me. So I think about it. You didn’t expect that, like seriously?” Yamada asked.
Yuto shakes his head. “Yama-chan..” he hugged the older.
“Hey, I’m not that mean to ditch you as my friend, did I?” Yamada said, hugging Yuto back. “Ne~ let’s starts over kay. I’d forgotten what happened between us in the past. And I hope you’ll understand why I am like this. I don’t want all this, but this is just for fans, for their happiness. I never ignored my best friend after all. Don’t you too like if your fans are happy with you? I do, and because I like to see the happy faces of my fans, I’m doing this. But..I’ll be happier if the one who were close to me is happy with all I am doing. That’s the real happiness,” they broke the hug. “I know our relationship will never be the same again like before. You had Keito while I had Chii..but I try my best to spend any time with just you. Is it okay with you?”
“Un..I also try my best to be with you. Hontoni arigato Yama-chan..” Yuto was crying. “I missed you, Yama-chan..” he said, voice cracking because he actually cried.
“I missed you too, Yuto-kun,” Yamada said between tears. “Ne~ how about we hang out somewhere?” he said while wiping his tears.
“At this hour?” Yuto asked as he glanced over his watch. 4.30 pm. “Sure, but let’s wash our face first. You’re so ugly with these tears you know that..” he joked.
“So do you..” Yamada said, pinching him on his arms. The two ‘revived’ best friends walk away from the dance room to the washroom before leaving Jimusho.
