I will not sign up for Merlin Big Bang. I will not sign up for Merlin Big Bang. I’m not even done watching S3, so I will most definitely not sign up for Merlin Big Bang. Nope. But if anyone signed up? I will cheerlead. And also, I would happily accept Merlin recs because it’s been aaaaaages since I read a good Merlin story.

Oh, oh! Their first meeting in an office setting, being introduced at headquarters. Steve is late and wearing his usual casual clothes, and Danny takes one look at him and asks their boss, "You're kidding me, right? Chin, I'm a professional. I'm the best you have. You are not pairing me up with someone who doesn't take this seriously."
"He's good at what he does, as good as you are. Trust me." Chin leans back with a wide smile. "You should be evenly matched."
Steve, having watched the exchange with an amused curl to his mouth (and okay, it's a pretty mouth, Danny has to give him that), comes forward. When they shake hands, he gives Danny's tie a slightly derisive glance, and Jesus, Chin must be out of his fucking mind because there is no way this partnership will work.

So, okay! Let's see. If the operation fits, you can basically get anyone from any unit, if that agent is available? So they could bring Steve in to work with Danny as long as Steve is capable of doing the job, even if Steve is usually based somewhere else?
I wonder, though - could I get with an op set in, like, Venezuela? SEALs do work the entire world, as far as I know, but probably not in countries the US is supposedly not at war with... Maybe Cuba would be a good middle ground. (I mean, I might not have to go into too much detail; this would be more for myself so that I feel like my story's based on a somewhat solid basis...)

I'm not saying you should include any of that stuff in the story, but it's good to know where your guy is coming from. There's a realistic basis for it. :)
