Augh, I'm like that too. Ever since I was a wee tot, I was up at ridiculous hours of the night and trying on all my clothes or playing with my bear. :|
I really like that idea of getting ready for bed before I actually have to do it. Part of why I don't really want to sleep, I think, is that oral hygiene just feels like such a CHORE. Getting it over with will probably help.
I actually got an alarm that makes sound AND vibrates, but somehow I managed to turn it off this morning and I don't remember doing it. -_- That, I think, is just the tiredness at work.
I don't think I'm suffering from depression, and this isn't a "no way, not me" thing, I just honestly don't think so. I've wondered about it, but I don't think it's the root cause of not wanting to sleep, for me. I'm glad you brought it up though XD
ALSO, thank you for mentioning that you've been struggling with this too. I often felt like I was the only one dealing with this EVEN THOUGH I KNOW IT'S NOT TRUE, so knowing that you've tried this stuff and had it work for you, along with time to adjust and make it a thing, makes me feel a lot better. THANK YOU.
there was a study recently that showed that people have a wide variety of normal sleep patterns and they don't necessarily correlate to being diurnal. A lot of people i know have trouble like this. Mine gets worse when i start getting depressed- but usually it's just that i absolutely cannot get out of bed.
My brother is nocturnally inclined like us too, but HE'S got the benefit of a spouse who can get up in the morning no problem, and she can prod him awake. Clearly I need to marry a morning person XDD
And yeah, I also do that when I'm not feeling happy about something. I suppose it's a natural sort of reaction. :|
