71- Into Fire

After months and I mean month of having the film 71 Into Fire on my lappie, trying to find the right and perfect moment to watch it I have finally done it!

And it was just as great as I thought it would be! Really really well done picture! The colour, the settings the blowing and shooting. And yes the film contained most of the latter, blowing and shooting. Nice effects really nice and I actually think (after watching Iris and some other Korean films) that they are really amazing when it comes to the effects with shooting. They let the ground splitter near the camera and just the whole camera angle and what not is perfect!

But there is one thing that somehow bugs me, and I don't really know what it is. It could be the over done blowing and shooting taking over the story. But on the other hand that's pretty much comes with it though it's about this battalion with only student soldiers during the Korean war. But I think they should have done something more with the characters and their relationship and past (But others might just say the opposite XD)
Now we just got to see basically one background story from one of the student soldiers, which I don't complain over I mean he's being played by T.O.P (Choi Seung-Hyun) who I really LOVE.

But this all bugging thing can also be that I compare it with Band of Brothers, who is the best war picture ever and a series which means they can add some more personality in it. So if I stop comparing it I think it will end up pretty high on my ranking! Maybe 4 out of 5! That's a really high! XD

And I was a little bit unsure about the whole Choi Seung-Hyun bit. I mean I've seen him acting in other stuff and it's mostly just been eyes no lines and when speaking it has not been as convincing as just the eye bit XD But in this film he is really convincing! I would call him an real actor! I doubt no one could have done it better than him! And he deserves it! He has been trying really hard for this film and really went into the character! Actually feeling real proud of him!

So if you would like to watch a film that's not about Word War 1 or 2 take a look at this! Might not give you a history lesson but a lesson that each person can make a difference and that you should follow your heart ;D

Oh and I just gotta say that I totally love the "dirty" make-up! It  looks like freckles and it's so amazing to look at even though I doubt that's how a dirty Korean soldier would look like. But they could have cut the eye pencil on T.O.P I mean come on! XD

And I think I've said it before, in my first post I think that I totally adore his ears! XD Especially when he's wearing that hat!
