Fall weather continues; mother is over the pneumonia, and AT&T U-verse!
The fall weather is persisting. I am constantly wearing my fleece jacket when I am outside or the house gets chilly to keep warm. It's rained off and on consistently since my last entry, and I haven't seen any sign of the weather patterns changing. I hope it will warm up for a little to enjoy some warm weather before winter sets in. I haven't remembered fall to be this wet, either.
I am going to Six Flags on Saturday, and so far the weather is looking good. It isn't supposed to rain, so I'm homefree for a day of riding in amusement park rides in the chilly autumn weather. I am looking forward to riding on The Boss, the Screamin' Eagle, and Shazam.
Mom is mostly over her pneumonia. Her cough is nearly gone and she's sleeping at night, mostly thanks to the medicine to treat it. She is doing so well her oncologist permitted her to do another dose of chemotherapy this week. Everything went well today, and since she started getting over the pneumonia she has gotten more energy and is up and about, and doing things at home and away from the house. It's wonderful knowing that she is getting back to normal as normal can be right now. I've had a lift in my mood and have been doing some cleaning.
Last week my dad signed up for AT&T U-verse. For the longest time my parents were very basic with television, only watching what was available on the air locally. Well Monday the 12th the technician showed up after my dad signing up for it, and he and I worked together to get the new wiring set up and everything working. It went well and everything is working fine. I now have double the upload speed for the Internet connection, lots of cool shows to watch, and an even faster line altogether! The only thing I can complain about is the tech cut the coax cable that is connected to the antenna outside, leaving about 8 feet of cable loose, and the crimped end is on the part that was cut. AT&T U-verse is basically cable but over IP. Since we switched to U-verse everything is going over the Internet: phone, TV, and DSL. It's awesome and an excellent service, and I look forward to the hours of entertainment it will bring, even though I don't watch much TV, yet I'm on the web many hours of the day.
