The parent sent a note today to attach to the IEP demanding that her daughter be able to use the health office bathroom because she's afraid of the regular bathroom

I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. It's so hard when you work with a child and you know you're doing good work with them, but the parents don't want it to work out for whatever reason. Even if the mom isn't, I'm proud of the work you're doing with her daughter. And from the parent of another special needs child, thank you for everything you do. Foe keeping us parents in line when we forget to push, or letting us know when we're pushing too hard.

From an aide who works in the system, thank you for dealing with parents so we don't have to :P

Thank you! I read the stories of what you're doing with your children and *encouraging* them to do, and I just wish this parent was more like that and would allow her daughter to be open to more experiences without her hovering like an ominous storm cloud of oppression.
