Oh, Supernatural, you crazy show!
This was a really jam-packed episode, with a lot of layers going on. Every character got some development, and some great lines. And it's always a treat to see Charlie. Plus, holy special effects, Batman! I swear, this new CW head must be throwing money at the show this season. There's so much I loved about this episode, I may have to dust off Damsel Undistressed for a lengthy write up. From the 1935-era backstory, to a backlit Sam silently striding into Crowley's cage to present him with a piece of paper and a crayon, to Charlie diving to save Dean's life, to the gorgeous glowing glimpse into Oz. Robbie Thompson continues to write great stories, and Bob Singer directed the hell out of it. The whole thing looked beautiful. This will definitely require a rewatch.
