School today. All good things come to an end...like a 4 day weekend spent primarily with a boyfriend not seen for a week. Oh well, boo hoo, I get to see him next weekend as a birthday present to me! Hopefully I'll be in the mood to lose money and the Central roommates will want to show me how to do the casino thing. I like Paul's group of friends, for some reason I find them refreshingly comfortable and straight forward. Maybe Paul and I can find a nice club to go to. It is the time of year I usually get to dance ya know, but now there won't be teachers around me and I can actually dance.
Today I got home at 2pm, planning on starting my homework so my weekend wouldn't be so crowded. Not really. I watched Tv and ate until about 4pm, then I pulled all my items for my speech together for tomorrow. Oh my gosh, I've never been so ready and almost excited for a speech ever! I like my speech class, even though it is three hours, I like it because there is a vast difference in all of the students and I know no one in there. Love it. I like meeting new people and not having other people's judgment in the back of my mind. So tomorrow I have my math class for about two hours, an hour lunch with Melissa and Ron (Love Thursdays!) and then my three hour class of comfort. I think this is a semester of joy so far.
I must have been really uncomfortable today because the inside side of my thumbnail is all sore and scratched. You know how you can use your index fingers to scratch at those hard skin ridges that develop around your sides of your nails. Yeah, I scratched the crap out of those today. I wonder what's up?
Today we did peer editing in English, and the girl I traded with said that I was very wordy and she kept repeating that I use many words to convey a point, and I know I am very long with my written things, but I found her paper very direct and quick. Not many words at all, so am I really that wordy or is it just different views of writing styles? I like me, and you all seem to read what I say with ease, so I vote maybe a little wordy, but not that bad.
We are training two new hosts at work and it's times like this where I really like my job because I realize how easy it is to me now that I know the restaurant and have only a little more to learn. That and the trainer had them do just about all of my closing side work last night so I all I had to do was menus and watch CNN.
I won a facial for me + friends, so Karly and I went to the woman's house on Tuesday and we get to go back next Tuesday for even more free face happiness. She is a Mary Kay representative. Have you ever really researched what working for Mary Kay is like? Holy crap, it is almost good enough for me to say nevermind to being an eye doctor. Okay, not really because becoming a doctor is more of a personal goal for me, but still, holy me!
I originally came online to print off my lab for Friday and email my English teacher about how to best get more career path information. Too bad I like writing about myself more.
Have a good day, but be sure you are comfortable first.
