Now I go to college and actually get to take classes that will get me closer to the rest of my life.
I love the unwasted time! Balancing school, homework, and work gets tricky at times so far, but the stress is worth it because now I'm completing something real.
In one week I will be 18 and can register to vote. I'm also starting my training to be a server. Intimidated? Yes. Ready? Yes.
From Friday to Sunday I was camping with the family plus Paul. I loved it. The trip could not have gone any better! Dad and Mads went up early to be sure we got a site and then on Friday after Karly and I flew home from school (we carpool on Friday!), hopped in the van, got Paul and were on our 3 hour way. The site was big enough for our tent so Dad called us and told us to bring it since 6 people in a pop-up would be tricky. So Paul and I stayed in the tent while the other 4 slept in the trailer. The weather was beautiful! We canoed/kayaked on Saturday through the Platte River to Lake Michigan, swam, and then came back to cook 894,372,345 tons of food and ate and drank again all night. Sunday we got up, made a bunch of food and munched while Mom, Karly, myself, and Paul packed up our things and then headed home. It was so nice to see him. Oh my gosh it was nice to see him. I didn't super miss him or turn into a wreck, but it was hard when I was stressed out and didn't have him to just relax with. I plan on driving up to see him the 15th and 16th, so there is my next landmark to look forward too. It is weird without everyone, but it is do-able.
Then there is Kelly. I have not spoke to that girl, oh I have I not spoken to her. Geeze I hope she is doing alright down there. The end of this summer we didn't see each other much, so we are kind of used to having long periods of drought between us, but I feel like I should call her up or email her to see how she is adapting. And Tricia, I talk to her throughout the weeks, so it isn't too bad having her gone. This isn't as bad as I hyped it up to be in my head.
Back to class on Wednesday. I'm liking the four day weekend set up. I didn't do much today except clean my room, finish half my homework, and go to work. Work was kind of pleasant. It was a nice day. Tomorrow I think I'll feel sluggish if I do that again, but I think will anyway.
Everyone is online now. I love them.
Mostly I love.
