Brrrrrooomball
Went and played broomball last night. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm glad Stuart invited us out. It was fun. 8 or 10 teams duking it out, eheh! After watching the first game, I got all pumped. It was very casual play and looked very do-able and amateur. Run around a lil on the ice, hit the ball and fall down.
Then Monica pointed out to me the team we were playing against. Oh, the ones in jerseys and more than twice the size of me? Gah, that guy looks like Corsi! If I had to describe Corsi in one word, it would be "intimidating". Awesome!
I got body-checked a couple of times. Had a few hard falls, but it was great! Aaron and I were under the impression we weren't suppose to rough it up out there, but the other team was all for it. They were probably the most competitive team present. I probably should've played a little more aggressively.
We didn't lose though! We didn't win either. We tied. Thankfully everyone else on my team was more competent than me, eheh!
It reminded me of Colorado, snowboarding and the frigid air. I had a hard time after the match trying not to die. I opted out of the second game, but today Stuart informed me they won it 4 - 0. Wow.
