Arrive-ed in da 'Burgh
After much anxiety and some kind of awful feeling in my stomach, I have arrived. I'm staying with my mother at the moment. I had been horribly worried that everything would have changed in the last 2 years. I was wrong to fear that. Things are much as they always have been with the exception that my young sister has grown a lot (she's nearly 5ft at age 9!) and my mother has started to get her life together again.
I hardly feel as though I'm 'here' at all. It's easy to step back into the past when little has changed on the surface. I'm dying to hike through the conifers as soon as possible. And I have the overwhelming urge to walk the Lawrenceville, Oakland, and Bloomfield streets again. If anything's moved on, it'll be found there.
There are many folks I'm looking forward to meeting with again. I'd love to have a drink with you 'of age' types, hike with you 'fit' types, and just generally reminisce with anyone who's up for the challenge ;).
