How "Unfortunate"
If you've been keeping up with the news lately then I'm sure you've heard all about Mark Foley and his exploits with underaged boys, ironically violating many of the laws that he helped pass. What I think is pretty crazy is some republicans believe that it's "unfortunate" that this was brought to light because now a democrat would be a shoe-in for his seat in congress. Excuse me but exactly how fucked up do you have to be where you would rather have a pedophile in congress than a democrat? There's even been talk that other republicans knew all about this before it came to light but Foley was told "Don't worry, we'll take care of it". Further proof that bipartisan politics are totally fucking up everything because I don't doubt the democrats would have done the same.
Chances are if you know me, you know my stance on pedophiles. If I could I'd have them all shot in the head or castrated. I know that since I'm liberal I'm supposed to be a pansy and think "Well these are people with a mental disorder, they have a disease and they need help." In my opinion these people are a disease and the children and society in general are the ones who are afflicted by that disease.
Now he's claiming that he was that he was molested by a clergyman in the Catholic church between the ages of 13-15, which conveniently can't be proven or disproven and really it doesn't matter one iota. This does absolutely nothing to excuse his behavior in my eyes. Also his attorney/spin doctor explains that since Foley did not actually have sex with the young boys that he is not a pedophile. Excuse me for a second, but I've read the chatlogs and perhaps my definition of a pedophile being someone who lusts after underaged kids is way off but I doubt it. Here you have a man in his fifties talking to a fifteen year old boy about how he wants to take his underwear off, asking for details about how he masturbates, and how much he likes the kid's ass. Surely he's not a pedophile, he didn't have sex with the kid, he just really wanted to and there's a difference right? Sorry but a heterosexual who hasn't had sex with a woman is still a heterosexual and a pedophile who's never (supposedly) had sex with a kid is still a pedophile. Mark Foley is a disgusting pedophile and I personally will feel sick if he's not prosecuted for this. I can only imagine what kind of horrors this guy had on his hard drive.
We also have famously brainless Rush Limbaugh claiming that this whole thing was a setup by the democrats, despite the fact that Foley admitted to doing it! Way to make excuses for a pedophile, you're almost as bad as he is you bloated sack of protoplasm!
