Linda forgot to turn on the heater before going to bed. D:
So I’m awake at this ungodly hour because I thought I had a physics lab this morning and needed to do a prelab. Very happy that I don’t.
The past couple of weeks have been kinda bleh. Got sick some time ago, still sorta coughing now (reminiscent of last spring), missed a shitload of work and thus didn’t make nearly as much money this month as I did last. Chi-Wei got stuck in Taiwan due to a problem with his visa, so missing work wasn’t too bad. Classes on the other hand have been… er… not particularly good, but not particularly bad? I’m not sure how to describe them exactly, but they’re not horrifying. Sure I died after my last math midterm and had to be revived several times, but I’m doing pretty well in my other classes. Some people in my chem/physics classes are freaking out.
Thanksgiving was nice. Well, not as nice as a home-cooked meal, but as nice as a college kid across the country from home can afford. We discovered a Boston Market, and invested in some turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, etc. Spent the day mainly cleaning. I washed another disturbing pile of dishes. XD
Black Friday didn’t seem to have very good deals this year, but we still decided to drive to some random town in the middle of Cali. First we stopped by this place called Modesto, then we drove to Merced (which we found to be a waste of time), back to Modesto, then to Livermore, and then back to Berkeley. It was pretty fun driving; Cali’s roads are curvier than Florida’s, and there’re lots of hills. We passed through some large hills covered with windmills and yellow grass (not sand as I had originally thought); it was a very picturesque scene and I wished I had brought my camera with me.
Modesto/Merced reminded me of Fort Myers. Smallish city, shopping centers, barely any Asians and lots of Hispanics and Caucasians. XD Sad, but true.
We ended up getting a piano keyboard, a hard drive, a flash drive, some clothes, shoes, and a variety of alcohol. Oh, and a couple of free snow globes. I decided to customize a desktop online instead of fighting for a deal, so a nice 1 TB monster will be arriving soon. I start salivating when I think about what to fill it with…
Unfortunately, the desk is still a mess, so it must be organized today before my chem partner comes over tomorrow. I’m not particularly fond of poster board projects, especially ones designed for reasons I find pointless. Bleh.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
