Happy [insert holiday here] and Other Stories
It seems that LJ has fixed the HTML posting editor. Lo, a seasonal miracle! :)
Now, this post is one of those ones where I mash fandoms together and hope no-one loses an eye, but if you like For All Time, BSG, or baked goods (yes that is too a fandom shut up), you'll probably find something to amuse you.
Over at fate_and_time, a Christmas in Somerville challenge was posted, in which missbevcrusher mentioned "For All Time-themed baking". I like baking, and none of my FATfic bunnies are seasonally appropriate, so the cogs began to turn.
How, I asked myself, can I bake something FATty? Oh, wait...
Thus, I give you gingerbread Charles & Laura, ready to work on the gingerbread paper.
I had rather a lot of dough left, so how could I resist making gingerbread Bill & Laura, too?
Then I still had dough left, so I made regular Christmas cookies. Good thing I like gingerbread, isn't it?
Did I learn anything from this process? Sort of.

Did I learn anything from this process? Sort of.
- I was reminded why I rarely make cookie dough that needs rolling, especially in this weather.
- The edible sparkle gel stuff is fantastic. Beats mixing up your own colors, which I had to do for the hair and grey things... You do NOT want to know the color stages Roslin's hair went through before it was done.
- It's tricky to do a frakstache in icing.
