BELATED MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!
With the way things are looking, these days, I might go on hiatus in Som after I fill out the AC; it's just tricky to focus on Danny's voice or find my center here. I'll only be here for another week, too, so it shouldn't be that long... I know these holidays are a busy time for everyone, and I know no one's going to hold it against me, but I'd wanted to make this work. Eh. We'll see how I feel tomorrow, now that I've said this out loud; maybe just the mere act of doing that will poke the contrary side of me and have me tagging like crazy, just to make things tricky.
Things here are remaining active and interesting. Today we went to the inauguration of a restaurant that an old friend of the family is opening . The music was too loud for my parents to hold up under, so they spent most of their time taking walks outside, but I met some interesting people inside. Specifically I met someone who was apparently the doctor that saw the births of a bunch of the grandkids that were running around. Then I entertained them both by getting bored and drawing on the table with water from the bottle I'd been given, and then looking innocent when waitresses came to wipe up that pesky water that had spilled.
I've also been asking after my parents' life stories, a lot. There's a bunch of interesting stuff, here; the only difficulties are that my mother's so busy that I might not get a chance to hear everything, and my dad tends to go on long tangents. (While these can be fascinating in their own right (I've not only gotten a book on the history of the Japanese imperial army from his shelves, but permission to go out and get more), they're still not on the subject at hand.)
Beyond that, internet here is still buggy. Fortunately, it's still generally managable, so you all can still see me around. :3
