Things are starting to calm down. Sort of. My parents are arriving today again and I still have a million things I need to do, but I doubt it will all be the agony that it was Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Tuesday, I went to try and start that second junior youth group where I volunteer. The class went terribly, to say the least, and the long-lasting effect from it was that a couple of irregularly-arriving kids got the code to get the key to get into the apartment. We told the management as soon as possible, and since this isn't the first time this kind of thing had happened over the last two years, they gently told us that while they still want us to give our classes in the area, they would rather we do it in the playground now, which is quite far from the display apartment they've been generously letting us use.
There are good and bad points to this, but I think the good points outweigh the bad, for now. For example, now we're having more interaction with the parents in hopes that we might be able to move this into someone's livingroom to escape the heat, which would mean more parental interaction and supervision as a whole. If we can get more than just one parent in this, it would become a true community joint effort.
In different news, we had a homewarming party last night, and played Apples to Apples until half-past-one in the morning.
