H.M.S is a french comics by Roger Seiter (writer) and Johannes Roussel (artist). We follow the adventures of the naval physician John Fenton during the Napoleonic Wars.

I made a little fanvideo in tribute to this series. The music used is Into the Fog from the Master and Commander soundtrack by Christopher Gordon, Ira Davies and Richard Tognetti.

De Cape et de Crocs is a great french comics by Alain Ayroles and Jean-Luc Masbou. It's about two gentlemen (well, a french fox and a spanish wolf) who live many adventures in a fantasy 17th century. There is a lot of allusions to literary classics (La Fontaine, Molière, Cyrano de Bergerac...). Great fun to read and the illustrations are wonderful.
