Nintendo Power has nominated Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest as one of it's GBA Game of the Year contestants. I should also point out that we're the only American game listed:

Sorry if you're getting sick of this. It only happens once or twice a year that a game ships, so you won't have to deal with it to often. That, and these posts can spawn some pretty cool discussion.

Pros

• The coolness of making games.
• Getting in at 9:30am is "early".
• There are days when reading a book with whiskey in-hand are considered totally reasonable.
• Telling kids what you do for a living.
• Research consists of playing tons of other peoples' games.

Since it's showing at E3, I figure it's safe to talk about here. I've finished up my work for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest GBA. I'm particularly proud of it, all things considered. Now I'm working on another GBA game; one that I'll be geeking out on for a long time, but which I shouldn't discuss until it's closer to completion ( Read more... )

If you're at all curious, I'm programming all of the AI for this thing. That's something like 30-odd sidescroller enemies and every enemy sailing ship. Yeah, I'm a little exhausted.

Here it is. It's not much, and the GBA screenshot doesn't show off how awesome I think our game looks, but there you go.

Canadian website, WHAM!, said in a very kind review:
When it comes to the Game Boy Advance installment, you can throw all of the handheld preconceptions out the window. Astoundingly, it is as ornately detailed as the console-PC versions.
