The Hand That Feeds
I begin my new job on Tuesday. I am gainfully employed as the furniture builder for the new Round Rock, TX IKEA store. My official title is "Self Help Co-Worker" which made me giggle a little bit. I start at $8 / hour, after 3 monthes I get Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage and then after 6 monthes I will get a very sweet 401(k) plan. The only downside is that my commute will be anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on traffic, fortunately I love driving and with my iPod I have an endless supply of music to rock out to in my car. From now to when the store opens to the public in November my schedule will be M-F 8-4:30 In addition to that I have a Spanish class at 5:40 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
