When Hinata felt out of sorts, it was customary for her to put on her comfortable shoes and walk around until she came across the perfect place for her to organize her thoughts at. Today it was a nearby bookshop, where she knew they kept old volumes of Shakespeare by the windows. The thought of curling up at a seat by the window with a copy of As You Like It pleased her, so she entered quickly and was glad to find her perfect seat available.
It seemed almost too good to be true.
And then it got better. She glanced up and out the window at the end of the second act (it was nicer today than it had been yesterday, as the clouds had moved on or dissipated. Whatever it was clouds did in their spare time), only to spot a familiar head coming down the street.
Their last conversation flashed through her head, and his last comment hit her once more. She wasn't sure if she believed it, but to have someone actually state her doubts aloud had been hard on her. Her stomach burned and a worried frown settled on her face. She wasn't sure if it was anger or not, but her body knew how to respond to the sensation before her mind did.
She picked up the heaviest book she could lay her hands on (Critical Analysis on the Works of Olympe de Gouges), pushed open the window and threw the book down at Sasuke. As soon as she'd done so, she was completely shocked at her spontaneous behavior, and immediately ducked out of sight.
Oh, dear. Not good. She hoped she hadn't knocked him out. Or killed him. Oh, no. Neji would kill her.
