FOUR POINT WIN OVER NEW ZEALAND! BOOYAH!
...Sadly, that's one of the biggest winning margins we've had against New Zealand in ages for Netball. The Australian and New Zealand teams are kinda matched. And kinda play each other a bit. Well, a lot, really.
Because it was the Kiwis, and the World Championship, everyone's remembering why we like netball (the fact that two of the major three competitors are Australia and New Zealand, basically), and there is much rejoicing. Adam Spencer's currently chuckling gleefully on the radio and interviewing Liz Ellis.
And Auckland just had a 22 page liftout on Netball for the World Championship, which is the biggest supplement devoted to women's sport anyone can remember down here. Of course, it being Auckland and Netball, it's not as suprising as if it had happened anywhere else, but still!
