So all in all, we didn't get an apartment. We got pretty close though. The first apt we saw was a studio for $950 a month --a cute room with big windows but a shared bathroom with other tenants. We wanted it. Rational won and we saw another apt. It was Terrible! Next to a place called thunder lignerie. Ka-Boom! And we called the first guy back. He had already found a new tenant. Shit. But we learned these few lessons:
1- We absolutly want to live here--manhattan
2- If you have a good feeling about something and that something is DIRT CHEAP, get out your check book
3- Sometimes the first time really is a charm
4- That apt hunting, esp for subleases, is not hard. And the closer you are to move in date, the better the options. When we look again i think there will be more for sept 1st, right now most are for august 1st.

New priority list:
1- Find a job. A Real Good Job. Help.
2- Make some money before the move. Maybe I should do something really original like write poems for cash.
3- Get a cheap plane ticket out here for end of august.
4- TAKE A SHOWER

We ship out for home early tommorrow morning. See you soon!
