No scheduled fun
We were going to attempt Coronation this weekend, but alas it's too damn hot! The site is great far as room is concerned, but there is precious little shade. In fact, no shade at all where the lyst fields are and such. One building has so-so A/C. The hot and muggy 90's are not a good weather condition to be outside in when you aren't used to it. Next event is two weeks from now. We'll see how the weather is then.
I'm going against my usual nature and having a garage sale next month. In needing to clear out the warehouse I have a bunch of stuff I'm not sure the standard places will really be the best dumping grounds. It's all going on Craigslist first (TY Chris!)to see if I can get decent $$ before I go through the process of fending off the vultures. Can you tell I'm looking forward to this?! :) I'm starting a list this weekend and I'll put all that stuff in a specific place so when the time comes (either someone buys ahead or I have to put the table up) I won't have to scramble and wonder where the items are. Sounded good to me, anyway. I still haven't decided about getting rid of the large baby items, like the crib and high chair. I think we might need to, though. I don't relish the thought of having to find a place to store those for what might be another 3-5 years, if ever. If we are at the point of having another child, we'll be much more financially well-off, that's for sure!
Now I just have to figure out how we are going to store my DH's stupid toys from his childhood until we have a display case. I'm tempted to go to Wal-Mart or somewhere like that and get a put-together armoire or bookcase to sit in that space we have that needs shelving. Otherwise they will stay in boxes indefinately and that's gonna drive me crazy!
