Rehearsal was much better today.
Finally found some grounding for Theseus, rooted in the 1940's world from which Shakespeares voice forced me to articulate and be more authoritative- just gotta find that shit for Oberon now.
Slap in the face though, when i got home. Heather, an AD I worked with out in the States, heard rumour that i was coming back over and wanted to know if i wanted to help her with my movie.
It's the first time that i've had to confront that it looks unlikely that i've got into Drama School in the US and thus will not be going there this summer...or indeed for a long while.
I don't know if i could convince Brent, or any film director to employ me on their LLC because that might fulfil my visa requirement...but nevertheless, I couldn't reply to the e-mail yet because i simply don't know what to say.
I graduate in 2 months. What happens then? I want to act. I know that. And I want to live in the US. I know that too. Unfortunately, the two things don't seem to be able to coexist just as of yet. Hopefully, all will slot into place.
Talking of which, I've heard talk of an indie movie being made in Bristol in the upcoming weeks (When i'm free for break, until Ruffian On the Stair) It's a movie about 3 gay young men (and no, it's not porn!) The premise sounds really interesting so i'll give that a look tomorrow. Maybe it will take off once completed and then allow me to work in the States....hmmmm, that deffo sounds like dreaming!
