Not a huge lot to say- yesterday was pretty uneventful.

Went to seminar in the morning, and the tutor was so overworked and pressured- that she looked like she was going to breakdown in front of the class and cry. I think i'm particularly oversensitive to this at the moment because i'm so aware that i might be doing this in a couple of months...(The teaching and not the breaking down!) So i wrote her an e-mail in the evening to tell her to keep her chin up- I hope it wasn't too patronising and hopefully shall cheer her up and be appreciated!

In the afternoon we had rehearsals. Richard is on a HUGE research bender at the moment and wants every minute detail to be correct.
He's decided to set the play in 1940's London, with the 'court' (although he hates that word and it won't actually be a court) needs to be dullish and drabish rainy Britain....when we're in the woods though, wizard of oz stylee, we're in an unnamed exotic foreign locale (mainly India.) There's an immense amount of references to India in the text directly, as well as constant references to the 'golden sands' etc
Which leaves the fairies as Outward Bound type scouts- that see a world with peace on the horizon, that no one else can see. This also fits in nicely with the whole concept of Oberon and Titania trying to restore harmony.
The mechanicals are therefore going to be the Home Guard, who are entertaining the rest of the troops...the tailor making the costumes etc etc

So, the concept should work fantastically but at the moment we're having these huge long research projects on rationing, teamaking, the foresters, drill marches etc etc - it's all cool though.

Got home last night, so tired- didn't really do anything.

Today is a day of learning lines, research, going to see Toad of Toad Hall and laundry.

Laundry should be the priority, I need to remind myself, as i've hit empty.

Xxx
