Yep, Karma's a bitch.
I got lost driving home *sigh*.
So, just before leaving work, I was bitching to Andrew.. he made the comment to not worry about it, Karma will get them (bitching about how certain other people didn't do work, but expected Andrew to do it all)..
I told him that it doesn't though. It comes to me.
So I am driving home. I decided not to turn onto Canterbury Rd but go on a road a bit further that would run parallel to it (Went on C. Rd yesterday and got stuck at some lights for FOUR cycles and the previous day Whitehorse road took forever, mostly 40kph zones)... figured the next main street would be parallel..
The rd (station st) turned to the left at the end and I figured I was pointed in the right direction.. I was tired, and still a bit pissed with work.. Next thing I know there is a sign for Burwood Highway (after C. Rd, I would turn onto Springvale Rd which crosses Burwood Hwy).
So I figure I should jump onto Burwood hwy and take that to Springvale Rd. Driving along, I dont notice familiar roads.. but figure I just dozed through it (was tired remember).. Then I hit Warrigal road.. That was familiar but I just realised I thought it was Clayton Rd.. That should have triggered something in my head..
Keep driving, I realise the tram tracks have stopped (which got me confused since I cross tram tracks at Springvale Rd).. and just past that point I see a sign saying "Burke Rd, Caulfield".
It is then I realise I have been heading TOWARDS the city, and NOT dandenong *sigh*. So I turn onto Burke road, and realise I am right by Monash freeway so I jump on that.. traffic was bad, took forever. But I finally got home, after stopping at Hungry Jacks for food (Was too annoyed to cook tonight).
I cannot believe that I did that. Still not sure how it happened.. could have sworn Station St veered left at the end which should have been pointing me in the right direction.
I think I need to put the compass back in the car.. then one Bel and I got in the US.. had bad sense of direction there too..
