Anarcho Research

Trying to prepare myself for the conference on soy, I started reading stuff online. I began to despair though, because there is so much material to read, and I have to pay by the hour for internet. Luckily Rosa was there to plug me into the network of research possibilites that exist in Buenos Aires counterculture. She started making phone calls and gave me a list of places to, people to talk to. I started making bus trips, asking questions, and suddenly, from community libraries, socialist publishing houses, cupboards and closets a mass of material appeared. Books, magazines, 'zines, photocopies. Some on loan, some given for keeps. It's stunning the resources that are hidden out there, and the masses of people willing to put themselves out to help another, to show solidarity for a common cause.

Now that I know these resources are out there, and now that I'm comfortable doing serious academic research in Spanish, I think I'm going to be doing a lot more intellectual work.
