(no subject)
So my boss wants to hire me full time and have me drive the company Cube. Along with full-time benefits, including health insurance that I haven't had for seven years, I also get a raise to my base pay. Other perks to follow. In the meantime, I'm completely broke for the next three paychecks. So work front good. For the first time in my life I'm actively trying to behave as an adult. It's absolutely terrifying. And fun.
My period of root shock has ended and I am ready for inexorable growth. I have the potential to become so much more than I am. I am the potential that is able to become more than I am. Dasein tautology- Tristan would shoot me if he ever read this post.
I'm reading Hesse again but all of his books, particularly the early ones, begin to feel the same. His early books give me a constant deja vu because they all share the same formula, the same pattern. It's as if they were all written by the same person. I have this thing that once I latch onto a new author I have to read everything by him or her. Basically I read faster than anyone I've ever known with the possible exception of one of my brothers. I'm sure there are plenty of people who read faster than me but I just haven't met them. Sadly, the catechism is too large for a single person to read.
I've never been to Burning Man, but I'm going with some friends this weekend to the Florida Pre-heat. I'm vaguely annoyed by the so-called "burner" type, but I do like to meet interesting people and frankly I've never been so entirely single in my life. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I've been extroverting for nearly a year now so it's important that I introvert.
It's funny how depressing my last twenty to thirty entries are. I swear to god this has been the best year in my life. But it sounds so depressing how I describe it in LJ. The good times really need pictures. Maybe I'll transfer my facebook pictures to here so everyone can see my ridiculous adventures. Oh vision!
