Bleh I did next to nothing this past weekend. That’s right NOTHING. Been pretty irritable lately to. Dunno what it is. I guess because I have been eating poorly and not exercising at all and it’s starting to GET to me. I need to change all that, and get back up on the horse.
Saturday Sharon and I took a trip up to the Whole Foods Market, which is a super market for entirely organic products. The place blew my mind. Yeah it is a little more expensive but DAMN it was like a Hippie Wegman’s. They even had a groovy old dude stocking produce that said, “Hey, man how’s it goin”. We picked up a few odds and ends so Sharon could do a little experimenting in the kitchen. I vowed to go back to buy some organically produced beef just to try it.
Sunday we all headed down to my sister’s house for my Father’s birthday. We all pitched in and got him a Tomtom. He really seemed to like that. Mmm tech toyz.
Tinkering
Started piecing together a big loop antenna, for another solar flare monitor.

02/22/2008 Need a steaming hot cup of motivation.
Haven’t had much time to invest in this project as of late. I’ve been run down and lazy. Some random thoughts on the tracking circuit for the solar concentrator.
1. Undecided about using SCR’s or 2N2222’s for the switching of the sensor circuit.
2. Might be able to use one analog input to support four threshold switches. Need to design small circuit to deliver four separate types of voltages to analog input to determine if the unit has reached a threshold in any of the four directions.
3. If above solution works, I might be able to integrate similar logic for the sensor circuit as well. This will free up three inputs for other uses. Possibly an infrared remote control.
4. Need to approach programming as if it will automatically have bugs. Timing and pulse durations will be a major issue I feel. Reviewing the initial program, I can see several issues standing out.

Had a dream over the weekend that Sharon was two-timing me with the company of another fella.
Weather
Snowy on Friday but then the rain came and washed away all the snow. I finally had the opportunity to use the snow blower. It did an ok job. We will need to adjust a few things though.
Today is sunny and 36 degrees.

So, last night I watched a democratic primary debate between Hilary and Obama. What a joke. Why do they even call it a debate? Every question that was asked was NEVER directly answered. The both beat around the bush for five minutes at a time.
