Friends-only (well, almost)

While some entries in this LJ are public, be aware that the 'sensitive' stuff (excerpts, entire chapters, plot details...) is friends-locked, and friends-locked it will remain. This is not out of paranoia for plagiarists--I'm still in the process of honing my skills anyway, I pity the poor soul who'd come and steal anything from me in hopes of manking moolah. ;) This is, however, in fear of cutting the grass under my own foot. I'm not sure yet of what texts/novels I'll try to have published the official way, and I don't want anyone coming to me one day saying: "We can't take that short story of yours, it's been available online for free and is stored in Google's cache, therefore there aren't first print rights left for us to pimp it out". There lies my reason. As long as I do keep these in private entries, to which the whole world doesn't have access, I'm basically covering my shiny bottom. Or so I hope.
