Karasu found himself quickly running like a helpless lost child throughout the dark alleys on a rather chilly night. The clouds slowly drifted along in the darkened sky, with a full moon peeking out over the edges. The stars could no longer twinkle with pride, for they were also blanketed by the cruel and foggy clouds.

Karasu continued running... though not as fast as he possibly could, just fast enough to keep himself away from a rather large gang that had been chasing him for blocks merely because he 'looked at them weird' and 'was funny looking altogether'.

Finally reaching a dead in deep within the city, Karasu stopped and slowly turned around, calmly watching the large men as they approached him.

"Gotcha?" one of them laughed, as two or three other's jerked Karasu up off the ground by his arms. "Freaks like you don't get by wit' givin' us dirty looks." another said as he gripped Karasu's chin with his thumb and finger, taking special notice to the crow youkai's mask. Karasu just smirked, allowing them to pin him to the wall.

"Eh...? Whuzz this?" one of the larger guys asked as he tilted Karasu head roughly to the side, tracing the mask further. "You tryin' to cover up for something, punk?"

"... Mm... Why don't you take it off and find out..." Karasu replied tauntingly, his eyes narrowing.

The man glare at Karasu and backhanded him across the face, sending him down to the ground. "I don't like yo tone..." he said as he lifted him up by his shirt, ripping a bit of the black silk fabric. "'Ey... one a you take this piece of shit off of 'em..." he demanded to one of the other's, getting an immediate response as the curious thugs unlatched the mask from the sides of Karasu's face.

"What the--?" one of them said, "It's nailed into his head...or something'!"

"Who cares? Just get it off!" the larger one said, watching as Karasu's pale face was finally revealed as he masked fell to the ground. Karasu merely smirked up at them his eyes now tinted a deep shade of blood red.

"Curiosity killed the little ningens..." he whispered darkly, a rather deep laugh escaping him as he took in the air around him--anything flammable at all. His dark hair turned a bright yellow, electric sparks buzzing about him.

The gang, now quite startled, slowly began to back away, but not before Karasu had already flit behind them, sending them all into the wall with a single flick of his wrist. The loud explosion filled the alleyways with light and the loud and pained screams of the men could be heard throughout the city.

As the dust settled, Karasu stood covered in blood, his hair back to its normal dark color, amongst the motionless bodies of the gang, organs and blood strewn all about the alleyway, limbs and heads disconnected from their motionless bodies. In his hand was the larger man's heart, the blood now beginning to run a bit cold against Karasu's pale skin.

"Such imbeciles... They should know better than to pick on -anyone- that looks a bit odd..." he chuckled as he brought the heart a bit closer to his mouth and bit a rather large piece away from the bloody surface. Swallowing it, he chuckled once more as he threw the rest of it down onto the ground and stepped on it, quite satisfied, "... Ningen's have such delicious blood." he smirked as he wiped the blood away from his mouth with his sleeve.

Lifting his mask from the ground, he held it with one hand, pausing for a moment to lick the dripping blood from the other. Now quite content with his kill--he hadn't done so in quite some time--he slowly started back through the alleyway, leaving the large mass of ningens to rot in the night.
