I have a pretty big paper to write that I have to hand in tomorrow. I also have to go to work at 6..or maybe 7. I dunno, I should call them.
Today I was on my way to the lab to make CDs for friends, but I went to lunch first. So of course, I had to talk to Chef Mike, because I won't be seeing his awesomeness for almost a month :P. Anyway, I was all "How's the Atlant Community Food bank thing going? When can we get Bon Appetit to start that up? Who else does the proposal need to go through?" and we were talking about that.
And he looked kind of tired and distant for a second so I was all "Are you okay?" and he smiled and was like "Oh...man, I have to drive about eight hours right when I leave here."
"Well do you have good CDs and stuff, for the ride?", I asked.
"Yeah, I've got some..."
"Well I was actually on my way to the lab to copy my soul mix, do you want me to make you one?"
So he said yeah, and I ate lunch and then made one. I wrote him a short note about the CD and gave him a track list, and was all "have a nice winter break/happy holidays/try to relax!"
So yeah, I gave it back to him and we tried to find a sharpie cus I *have* to label cds especially the ones that I make. He was familiar with most of the neo-soul people and that was cool. He said The Roots was one of his favorite bands, he saw them in concert.
He's so freaking adorable. Anyway, Kemoy needed change, and I happened to have ten dollars in quarters to give her...so I did all that only to find that the cd had only copied two songs...so I was like, "Mike, I'm making another one, cus that one fucked up" and he was like okay. So I wen to my dorm and then came back and he was in his car and he was like "Is that your dorm over there? Is that where your headed back to?" and I said "Oh, well yeah, but I'm actually going to the lab over by the library"
He stood at the steps with his hands in his pockets, "Well, do you want me to meet you over there or.." I said, "Well, we can just go over there"
It was weird to be in Mike's car. It made him a normal person. Not the head chef of Bon Apetit....yeah. Lol.
Anyway, he was all "i hope this one works, it was such a nice gesture..and the play list looks great" So I got the cd and hopped back in the car to test everything out, and it worked...thank god.
So I was excited and I'm glad I could bring more joy to the world with my awesome mix. It really is great. Even people who don't like rap, or neo-soul or anything, end up liking this cd.
Anyway, it'd be nice if Mike and I could be friends, but just like people have tried to circulate rumors about me and Dr. King being lesbian lovers, I'm positive it would end up being circulated that I was cheating on my boyfriend with him haha...
All the girls at school want him, but hopefully only one of them, that unfortunately I can't mention, will be so lucky. :)
I gotta, get stuff done.
