Who: Hiei and Shishiwakamaru
Where: garden of the teahouse
When: Thursday afternoon
Summary: Hiei and Shishiwakamaru have a talk

Generally Hiei wasn’t the most courteous of souls, but when it came to the allies being attacked as a part from the enemies it became a concern. Well it was already a concern that they were fighting amongst themselves, but that was a given. In any case he decided to visit Shishiwakamaru for a couple of reasons, one being to clear up this whole Kurama’s dog business, the other being courtesy. He came unarmed and uncloaked wearing only his usual black boots, pants, belts, and shirt to appear less threatening. He had his Jagan bandaged and his black dragon as well so there was no immediate threat.
It wasn’t difficult to locate the chashitsu Shishiwakamaru and Touya were staying in, the Jagan made the things Hiei desired to find much easier. Perhaps after their small tiff Shishiwakamaru didn’t really care to see him, this didn’t bother Hiei at all he did as he pleased. Honestly thought, this place wasn’t half bad, perhaps it was because the fire demon had a thing for nature. He wasn’t surprised to find Shishiwakamaru lounging outside either, seemed predictable for him. As silently as he could manage, which was usually very quiet Hiei hopped up into a tree and climbed to a branch that hovered right over the other demon, “hey.”

Shishiwakamaru had been reading out in the garden to get away from his fangirls who often hung around the teashop. He wasn't surprised to hear Hiei's voice and he placed blue ribbon between the pages of his book before closing it. "Hiei. If Kurama sent you, I have nothing to say to that kitsune. But you mentioned you had something you wanted to discuss?" the samurai asked evenly, but the tengu was curious.

“Yes, and that’s part of it, the whole my being Kurama’s guard dog and servant boy…one of the reason’s I’m here is to strip you of you notions,” the fire demon said this in his usual droning voice before forsaking the tree for the ground his red eyes fixed evenly on Shishiwakamaru now. “I have nothing to do with whatever it is that’s going on between the two of you so leave me out of it.”
“That and,” it was a bit difficult for Hiei to say, like acid burning his tongue really, but every now and again something decent came from the little firecracker, “some concern about your well being…mild mind you…but here.” Reaching behind him he pulled out a can labled Hyper-Heal Scar Cream and tossed in Shishiwalamaru’s way, “I was getting something for someone else and saw it, Thought it would be a disaster if I came presenting myself”

The tengu was surprised and he caught the can. "I see...I apperciate your concern. The wound was minor, and healed quickly enough," the samurai said casually. He would not speak about having to ask Kurama's help, he was too stubbornly proud. "Since you're here....do you remember Kuwabara's fight against the elder Toguro brother during the Dark Tournament by any chance?" the tengu remained seated where he was, looking up at Hiei with even violet eyes. He refused to ask Kuwabara about it himself, he didn't like the human boy and his cats.

“For the future then,” the question that came next perplexed him; of course Shishiwakamaru had been wounded by the elder Toguro. It made since that he would want to know how to beat him. Yes he had witness that battle between the idiot and that sorry excuse for a demon. “I remember it, Kuwabara got extremely lucky. Were you interested in knowing how he did it?”

"Yes, I was....curious," Shishi said casually. He was determined to beat Ani Toguro by himself, without help from Kurama, let alone a dumb human. "I had a feeling dumb luck was involved..." the tengu frowned.

Hiei couldn’t help but to chuckle, to think that it had actually been some kind of trick only known to Kuwabara was ridiculous. Had Kurama really said that to Shishiwakamaru, crouching down it was difficult to hide the strange humor in his eyes, “it’s not some special trick…if that’s what you’re thinking…”.

"The kitsune made it sound like some kind of special talent that the ugly idiot had that made it possible for him to defeat Ani Toguro," Shishi scoffed with distain. "I doubt it though, considering Kuwabara's...intelligence or lack of..."

“Well, he has something, though I’ve never really been quite certain what it is. Gumption, Dutch courage, a strong will…luck? It wasn’t any ground shaking revolutionary super attack or skill that gave him the win…it was his will power,” Hiei shrugged, he had to admit of most people he’d ever known Kuwabara had the strongest will, or one of the strongest. Not a brilliant fighter he had to have something in order to push him as far as he went. “Even if you did ask him I am not sure he would know, just will and power…plus he had a toy your friend gave him too.”

"Hmph, yes, the clown," Shishi huffed. He hadn't been too pleased with what Suzuki had done. "I have no intention of asking him. I am certain I will find a way myself," Shishi said arrogantly, brushing a few strands of blue hair out of his eyes .

“Hmmm…” Hiei wasn’t about to tell Shishiwakamaru what to do, it wasn’t his business and he didn’t care. Still he knew it wouldn’t be wise just to go looking for Ani, but he didn’t think Shishiwakamaru would do that, he gave the other some credit. Whatever Shishiwakamaru decided would be final for the proud demon, “well you seem determined.”

"I am not about to let that creep get away with what he did," the samurai said evenly. Shishi knew he needed a plan before he went up against the elder Toguro again, he may have been impulsive but he wasn't that stupid.

Sitting on the grass, one leg extended the other bent; he knew Shishiwakamaru was going over the many ways he would have to train in order to fight the elder Toguro. Hiei knew that he could train the other demon, he did train Kuwabara at one time, though he had to hand the human over to Kurama because he didn’t have the heart to go all out completely on Kuwabara. Certainly this was a shock for Hiei, “you’ll need intense training…”

"Yes, I know," Shishi nodded, a determined look in his violet eyes clearly showed that the samurai was not going to back down. "I know it will be work, but I do what I must."

“Then if you’re willing to work I can offer you a proposal,” Hiei stood up dusting himself off a bit, “you’re not asking me so it it’s not hurting you, I’m offering you a chance to train with me. I trained Kuwabara to some extent.”

Shishi was surprised by the offer but the samurai nodded. "Thank you, I accept," the tengu said. Hiei wasn't human like Kurama was so he had no issues with accepting help from him.

Hiei was agreeable to the training; he would train as long and often as necessary simply because he was a creature that enjoyed battling and training so it was no sweat off his back. He couldn’t train the other demon now, of course, which was obvious and Hiei was a pretty good choice. One of the stronger battlers who wouldn’t mock Shishiwakamaru because such things were beneath him when he was seriously training. When the other was better he was free to come to Hiei at any time so long as the fire demon wasn’t busy, “just name a time convenient for you after you have healed.”

"My shoulder is mostly healed, so this weekend, sometime during the afternoon” Shishiwakamaru suggested. He was not a morning person...still...despite his training as a samurai. "I assume you are staying at Genkai's temple?"

“I am not picky about the time or place as long as you are willing to train intensely to achieve your maximum output and I might be tempted to let you…nap in the sun,” Hiei was guilty of napping in trees so he wouldn’t begrudge the samurai some rest, “but if you plan on training you have to be willing to go the distance and that means roughing it with me more than weekend afternoons.” When Hiei trained he spent days in the outdoors, sleeping outside, and breathing the air maybe Shishiwakamaru needed that kind of discipline, “but I will see you at the specified time.”
At the other’s second question Hiei shook his head no, “I do not stay at the temple, but don’t worry I will certainly find you.”

Shishiwakamaru nodded, well aware he would have to make a commitment to this but he wouldn't complain...for once. "I understand. I am willing to do what I have to," the samurai said seriously. "Just don't let the landlady see you, she is a ningen."

“Ningens are easy to control,” Hiei waved off, the Jagan gave him just what he needed as far as being able to handle the beings in this world went. Now that everything seemed to be easier between them Hiei was finished, but he would see Shishiwakamaru again, the question was what would spending all that time together do to them. Though he refused t admit it out loud they were creatures of pride and that was also where they understood one another, “I like to train deep in the forest so I hope you really are ready to rough it and I’ll borrow some of Genkai’s bamboo swords for training.” Hiei dodged back into the tree looking back once waiting for a reply.

"Despite what you may think, I have no problem with that," Shishi smirked, picking up his book once more. He would never admit to his stubborn pride and he certainly didn't like others pointing it out. He adjusted his kimono, not looking up to the tree.

Hiei smirked at the other’s comment sincerely hoping that Shishiwakamaru was ready for what the fire demon had in store for him and with the lines clear he left Shishiwakamaru to his book and to enjoy the precious time he had till the weekend. Then Shishiwakamaru would be under Hiei’s instruction and he wouldn’t treat the demon the same way he treated Kuwabara.

Shishi opened his book but he wasn't really concentrating on the text so much as thinking through Hiei's offer and what training the other demon would put his through. Well, this was bound to be interesting.

shishiwakamaru, hiei
