He's Just Here to Make the Rest of Us Look Sane, Right?

Here we go again!  Warning, everyone, the Patsignal is flashing in the sky.

How I missed this lovely little tidbit is beyond me, I guess I was hoping Pat Robertson was kind of like an itch in the middle of my back. Ignore it long enough, it'll go away. No such luck.

January 2007: he's back on the Prediction Merry-Go-Round with another gem, and this one is a doozy.  He predicted (not kidding here)
"a horrific terrorist act on the United States that will result in 'mass killing' late in 2007."

According to the news story (link featured at end of this message) Pat went on to tell his adoring viewers on CBN that"I'm not necessarily saying it's going to be nuclear... The Lord didn't say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that."

But wait, there's more!  Pat thinks we're only PRETENDING to like Israel and that our secret US agenda is to push them to "national suicide".

And how, exactly, does a good prophet deliver this shocking news? Just ask Pat:  "I put these things out with humility," he says.

Thank you, Pat, I'm not sure I could handle it if you put it out with, say, a sweet little song-and-dance number.  "Armageddon's here again, the skies above will burn again, Israelis all across the globe cash in, armageddon's here again..."  Lovely. Right up there with having my skin abraded for enjoyment purposes.

Is anyone really listening to this man and believing what he says?  Dear God (by whatever name You may wish to make Yourself apparent to us), please say it isn't so.

Wait, what am I saying.  The store where I work carries 'National Enquirer' and 'Weekly World News', and they sell like hotcakes.

Can someone get Pat a cuppa Seroquel, please?

Oh yeah, story's at http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,240841,00.html
