I do not like tomatoes. I have never liked tomatoes. I am almost thirty and not once in my life have I ever liked tomatoes. So why does my mum think I'll "grow into" liking tomatoes?

I do not like them on their own. I do not like them with cheese. I do not like them in pasta sauce. I do not like them in ketchup.

I have tried regular tomatoes. I have tried our home grown tomatoes. I have tried cherry tomatoes. I have tried Local-Grown Farmer's Market tomatoes. I still do not like tomatoes. I do not like them, Sam-I-Am.

And this is my tomato rant for the day.

Completely unrelated: Thinking I might need to re-read War of the Worlds. It's such a good book, and it's been years since I last picked it up. This was my first exposure to Victorian science fiction, and it still holds a special pace in my heart.

It's really good, so if any of you haven't read it yet, get thee to a library. Or to Project Gutenberg. Seriously, I can't recommend it enough.
