☆ I stayed up late last night reading poetry. Apparently Hauge's work leaves me feeling calm and cozy. Well, I knew that before, but it's nice to have a refresher. I even tried reading some of it in the original (it's a parallel-text translation) and it was... extremely difficult, but one of the ones that I tried wasn't that hard. "Kveldskyer/Evening Clouds". Still REALLY HARD, way too dialect-y for me, but I tried.
☆ All of my Yuletide nominations for A Redtail's Dream went through. Yay! Now the only nomination that I'm left waiting on is Valiant Hearts. I think it'll go through fine; there is no fic on Ao3, but the tags are self-explanatory. Marie is the only character that I might need to offer an explanation for. But we'll see.
☆ Finally finished reading Love in the Time of Cholera. I don't know why this book took me so long. I didn't enjoy it as much as One Hundred Years of Solitude, but it was still pretty good. I'll have to seek out more of the author's work eventually. ... Anyway, I have no idea what I'm going to read next. [/looks at bookshelf] [/feels like "I HAVE NOTHING TO READ"] [/even though it's overflowing]
☆ I did a lot of writing this weekend! ... Some of it was not the writing I intended to do! But it was fun. Sometimes you just have to sit down and slam some flashfic out, even when you have a project that you really should work on more (Said project is going great, though. I'm not worried.)
☆ And this is a not-so-nice little thing, but just a thing. I expect the upcoming week will be... very busy, work wise. Such is life! But I'll probably start a lot of mornings by slapping the snooze button and thinking "I don't wanna". (Oh, wait, that's every day.)
