No, that isn't Czechia. No, that other one isn't Czechia either.
Hetalia is such a frustrating fandom, because there is so much supplementary material tucked away in Himuraya's blog and such, and misinformation gets passed around really quickly and really easily.
Yesterday I got the idea of putting together a masterpost of the information we do have for character information about Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as designs that were speculated to be them but were never confirmed. I think I'll do that when I get back from vacation. While it won't clear everything up - it's hard to completely eliminate misinformation when it's already out there - it'll provide a handy list for my own reference, and other people will probably find it useful too.
I'm thinking something like this:
-Blog post links, with links to the discussion/translation posts on LJ and description of what they contain (and also the images when available)
-Links to the posts with designs that people THINK is Czech &/or Slovakia but were never confirmed as being designs for them (or even designs for Hetalia), with links to discussion/translation posts (and description and images)
And all of it would be arranged chronologically. And I'd get someone (Rain, maybe) to doublecheck the original blog posts to make sure that the information I'm getting from them is correct, because sometimes the fan-translations (and/or machine translations) are not 100% accurate.
Anyway. So, that's what's been on my mind. I'm itching to start this project now, but I don't have time.
